"Our stay at the Emmet Hotel in Clonakilty was truly wonderful, and it became one of the highlights of our trip to Ireland.
The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, with thoughtful design touches throughout. We loved the unique wallpaper in each room, the cozy and welcoming library, and the stunning dining room with its elegant ivy-patterned wallpaper. Every space felt warm, stylish, and inviting - including the two goldfish in the dining room named after the bar keepers!
We were fortunate to stay in Room 19, which was absolutely lovely. The room was filled with natural light and featured a charming bay window seat where we could relax and take in the view. What made our stay especially memorable was the exceptional staff. From the front desk team to the housekeeping staff, everyone was genuinely warm, attentive, and kind.
The food was outstanding. Breakfast became our favorite meal of the day, and we looked forward to it every morning. Everything was fresh and delicious, the scrambled eggs and french toast will be remember long after our trip. Also try the warm beet salad!
The location is perfect - right in the heart of Clonakilty and within easy walking distance of everything in town. The Emmet became our home base for exploring West Cork, and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. We will be back!"
