The day of booking the property the owner called after 9pm to enquire where the payment was to which we explained it was purchased on hotels.com AND that the trip was for my SICK mother. "We stayed at the Onyx for 6 days and enjoyed it very much. Staff were very helpful and housekeeping were very good. It is in a good location, felt quite safe and the Concierge was very helpful in organising additional tours. Close to Big Red Bus stop, which allowed us to take in Cape Town. Also visited V and A wharf, walked a few times (took about 20 minutes) and took ubers of a night. Would highly recommend. Only downside was breakfast, seems a seperate business and staff were very pushy on being tipped each morning which is quite unusual for a hotel including breakfast, orders were mixed up and slow."
