"Friendly staff, great location."

"Amazing to stay in a world heritage site! Especially access to the Abbey out of hours was truly memorable. My 5 year old daughter loved it"

"Really loved the place, great food, pool and amenities. As it was very hot and dry, the rooms could have done with air conditioning but then it was a heatwave in August!"

"Beautiful old hotel"

"We had a lovely stay. Stephan was really helpful and friendly, recommending and helping us to book restaurants nearby. The room was nice and cool even in the heat and the pool was lovely and sunny. We would recommend to anyone"

"I have stayed in a lot of Chateaus- turned-hotels over my years of travel, so I think I can rave about this stay with credibility. It was a 10 out of 10. I loved the period architecture, the period fixtures, carvings, the 20’ ceilings, the paneled walls and matching room decor, and the thoughtful little things like the gourmet tea sachets, Nespresso/machine, and a shoe horn in the closet."

"We very much enjoyed our stay. The hosts were very friendly and were such a pleasure to visit with. The grounds are very well kept and the home absolutely beautiful The breakfast was amazing as well (loved the fresh figs) as was the room. Great spot!"

"Loved this hotel! The furnishings were so well done. Bathroom was functional and modern. Had à great cooling system you control individually for your room. Very clean and classy."

"Great stay - the proprietor was extremely helpful . These people know how to run a hotel. Meticulous eye for detail and everything was very easy. Storage and charging for our bikes in their garage and ice cold water to get us thru the hot weather. Room was in very good condition and all amenities were working and functioning."

"Lovely hotel, would definitely stay again, lovely breakfast and excellent location"

"This delightful old property in the countryside, with a welcoming host, diner was served in the garden & breakfast was very satisfying. We only stayed the one night while en-route through France, but could have stayed longer."

"Très bon séjour de cette jolie maison de Montreuil Bellay bien restaurée et entourée d'un magnifique jardin et sa piscine très agréable ! Très bon petit déjeuner dehors avec des confitures maison servi par notre hôte, on reviendra avec plaisir !"
