"First of all it could not be found. My sat nav couldn't find it. Varney Rd did not have a street sign and I don't think 44 actually exists. It took over 1 hour to locate this den. The key lockbox is situated on a wall, unmarked, and with all adjacent doors un numbered, on what can only be described as wasteland behind some shops. Once I located the keys (2) I brought my car around to park on this wasteland and was met by a couple of males getting their 'ladies' ready for work. The doors in this...

"Prices were very low and safe. There is a fast food restaurant nearby, which is convenient. Note that there was shampoo and soap, but no amenities such as hairdryers or toothbrushes. No air-conditioning, which can be a bit painful in hot weather. Heat can easily build up. Also, note that this is an accommodation for international students who stay here for more than a few months, and it is rare to find a guest like me on Expedia who only stays for 3-4 days and uses it like a hotel. Top Ruddington Hotel Reviews

The Orchard Hotel & Restaurant

10/10 Excellent

"The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are of a good size, well maintained and clean. Has a good variety for breakfasts."

Mercure Nottingham Sherwood Hotel

8/10 Good

"We upgraded to a superior room. Enjoyed the fridge and contents, coffee machine, robes, slippers etc. The decor was nice however there were stains on the curtains and the bathroom door had a chunk of wood out of it which didn't leave the best impression especially as it was an upgraded room #332. We used the leisure facilities. The pool was immaculate, however neither the sauna nor steam room were working (Nov 26) which spoilt it for us. The first night we dined in the restaurant and the menu was changing in two days. This meant that the existing menu was extremely limited which again spoiled it for it stay. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast each day we were there, however felt cold at times in the restaurant. Didn't feel like heating was on but it should have been. Overall an enjoyable stay!"

10/10 Excellent

"Booked a last minute trip with my Husband and we stayed in the top floor room which had a Jacuzzi. So happy with the booking, as the Jacuzzi was clean and ready to be used. The bed was comfortable and clean too. The hallway leading to our room was clean and modern looking. Staff were professional, friendly, polite and attentive as I checked in. I wish I had booked parking ahead of time as when I arrived, the Hotel parking was full so had to park a few minutes away. Had a lovely time at this Hotel, will definitely book again when visiting this area."
