It was a nice resort but we won’t go back. The rooms and bathrooms could be cleaner. The staff was really nice to you if you tipped them good if you didn’t they weren’t as friendly. They weren’t as organized as some of the other resorts I have been to. There wasn’t a lot of beach that you could hang out at and they shut all the bars and pools down at 6pm.

I loved the property, however there were a few things that we noticed. When we entered our room, the room still have half opened bottles of soda from previous vacationers in the refrigerator. Also, the towels we had in the bathroom were stained and the dresser was missing the front panel and handle. We also experienced no blankets, ice buckets or the ceiling fan had so much dust on it. There were also not enogh wall plugs by the bed. My husband had to get up out of the bed everytime he phone rang while it was on the charger by the TV. There was no bath soap in our bathroom as well in which i had to call for. We arrived on a Wednesday at 6pm and there was limited options for dinner. I enjoyed the buffett was a bit taken back by an island resort requiring sleeves for men in the informal buffet area. My husband was unable to eat because he was turned away. I guess as a vacationer i shouldve paid more attention to dress attire but it seems like a odd request for a island that leads with relax environment. Out side of that, all of the reservation restaurants required pants, which again seemed odd for a island that almost ranging 90 degrees in April. We enjoyed the music from our balcony but was taken back that it went loudly until around 1am. Seems like that should be moved away from the rooms so guests who like to turn in early. Additionally, the elevator was broken and we had to use the staff one to get to our room. Overall nice cosmetically but need some work.

Everyone at this resort were so friendly except for the restaurant Dolce Vita. They were rude and unfriendly unless you were a privilege member. The food at Piscis, The Round Table and the main buffet were amazing. Everyone at the resort are always cleaning. Our room and balcony were absolutely stunning! I can't wait to go back!

We really loved the different restaurants. Did NOT love the water area…lots of coral and not able to go far out…and next to a nude beach which was annoying, ain’t nobody need to see that. The shows in the evening were great, room was clean and nice but the beds are absolutely AWFUL - in major need of upgrade. Property is very lovely, lots of options for hanging out in the evenings.

If you enjoy swimming, this hotel isn't the place for you. I really wish someone would mention this in a review; I would have never booked this hotel. Although our overall experience was pleasant, with good food, room, and service, there was a significant issue. The sea is amazing, but it's such a disappointment that they've restricted most of the water for swimming. The provided swimming area wasn't adequate. I'm 5'3", and the water only reached my waist, forcing me to kneel, which caused knee pain and aggravated my Sciatica nerve. Lifeguards closely monitored us and prohibited swimming past the buoys. The only reason I come to Jamaica is to enjoy the Caribbean Sea; I can eat and sleep at home, so I do want to be able to swim. Therefore, I want to warn others: if you want to enjoy swimming without discomfort, it's best to avoid the Grand Bahia Principe Jamaica.

DON'T GO!! THIS PLACE IS DANGEROUS!! AT First it was a little frustrating because it was very difficult to get food or drink or find our way out of the building due to the fact that depending on which elevator you got on the floors were not the same. Turns out they are miss labled. Every dinner reservation I made they didn't have. Then I got food poisoning. The buffet sits out all day and is not cooled at all. The dining room temp is well in the upper 90s. The staff is rude and I can understand because they are working in in humane conditions. I wanted to leave the hotel after I was sick and they pretty much refused to let us go because they control transportation. Fortunately I can be very pursuasive when mine and my family's life are in danger. I haven't even touched the surface because I'm tired and still sick but home. There is sex trafficking rampt drugs and a lot of people on the propert that aren't staying there.

It was a beautiful resort and great for families. We had trouble with our room key and wristband the first day making four trips to the front desk. The next day, my husband was able to get access through his wristband. I was too nervous to ask them to activate mine and risk us both being deactivated. I did find hair in the hotel towels which was a bummer. I was surprised that zero toiletries were offered in the rooms. The entertainment was 4 out 5. Dining was good. I enjoyed access ackee, salt fish, dumplings, porridge and smoothies for breakfast. The beach and children’s waterpark was very nice.

Had to book this due to a family emergency. After my 1st visit to this hotel, I told myself I would never return. This stay however was a drastic improvement in the overall stay, specifically the room and the friendliness of the staff. Will definitely consider a return visit to this property.

Customer service was TERRIBLE. I saw staff ignore people, a poor senior who travelled all day thought her dinner reservation was one night, we were behind the family, they were tired, the hostess simply said No your reservation is tomorrow, my husband and I offered our table she simply said no theirs is tomorrow night; the restaurant was half empty, it was our table to give up. I was SHOCKED. The fridge and safe were broken in our room they tell us we must be in our room for them to fix it, that took two days and 4 hours. I asked to upgrade our room after two days of it not working I was charged an extra $150.00 and told my room would be ready at 3. Imagine being soaked from the pool, my room was still not ready and no one knew where my luggage was. This went on for two hours I walked to my old room twice then got in my new room, NO luggage. I was told it would arrive- I walked the three minutes back to my room no bell boy no luggage. This occurred for another hour- no apology no explanation no I’m sorry miss… Top it off my husband who hasn’t been back to his home in JA for 7 years invites his cousin over to give him a gift. He drove all the way in and the security pegged him for a DRUG DEALER! They told us he could stay for 5 minutes; we told them we’d like to visit with him in the lobbey and pay for him to have a drink they denied our request! For no reason… and he’s a local. Overall, slightly above average. Food much better than inclusive's in the Dominican Republic. Gym was a letdown, but most visiting Jamaica are probably not coming for the gym. Equipment was old and limited. Would have enjoyed some live music. A nice visit.

Have you ever heard the phrase "Lipstick on a pig?" Because that perfectly describes this resort. On the surface it looks and sounds amazing, but underneath it's truly horrible. Sure, it may have a fancy lobby and sound like there are so many dining choices, but in reality your dining options are limited (you only get 2-3 ala carte reservations IF they arent all booked by the time you arrive) and the buffet food is disgusting. It sounds good on paper (seafood nights, burgers and hotdogs on the grill by the pool, etc) but it TASTES horrendous. I'm not a picky eater at all and have traveled to many countries and tried all kinds of unusual foods, but for the price we paid to stay there the quality was appalling. (*Important note: if you have food allergies, do NOT visit this resort. They have zero allergy awareness!) The resort also sold day passes over the Easter holiday weekend and the resort was packed. Guests were laying on towels all over the grass because there were not enough chairs for everyone. There was some kind of sewage backup in the area around the pool. We saw them cleaning it up but there's no way it didn't wash into the pool. They ran out of towels and cups. Our refrigerator wasn't refilled. There is no room service or beverage waitresses around the beach/pool. We did meet some wonderful employees and enjoyed the beach areas.

The property is good however the draining sewage and pressure of water in the bathroom can be improved. There was a sewage smell in the elevator. Also please let the visitors know there is a shopping malll in the village . Overall the activities food and staff were good

Terrible customer service. We tried to change our reservation because the Canadian and US government issued a travel adviser due to excessive violence in the country. I was not able to discuss my requests even after I emailed the President, Ms Pinero. She never replied. Clearly the organization is a reflection of its leadership.

The property is advertised as all inclusive, but that is not entirely true. During your stay you can only reserve 3 all a cart dinners. The rest of your stay you have to eat at the buffet which is exactly the same every night. They do not staff the beach area with waiters or drink runners. You have to walk to the closest bar which is not close at all. Then they make you a drink in a 6 ounce plastic kids cup. The elevator was broken during our stay. So we had to use the steps all week on level 5. The room keys stopped working 4 times during our stay and you had to walk all the way back downstairs to the front desk so they could reprogram them. The management staff was rude to us and made my wife uncomfortable. The only highlights we had was the room maid was wonderful and the bell boys went above and beyond.

My wife and I were on our 20-year anniversary trip. We really enjoyed the resort. The facilities and staff were great. On check-in, we upgraded for a small cost from the Grand to the Luxury resort, which was well worth it. Tons to do on the property and food was very good. We did run into a few areas for future improvement. After we checked in, it was very difficult to book restaurants. I would recommend booking at least a week in advance. We also had some mosquitoes in our room because we were on the ground floor. More of a nuisance, and would recommend trying to get above the ground level. Overall though, great resort and we would visit again.
