The team makes you feel part of the family and welcome you on your stay, they are helpful and motivated. The location of the hotel is great (summer) near several lakes at car distance and amazing nature around it. They offer dinners at good prices, the small village has other options but we the vibe in the hotel did not let us go somewhere else.

Great hotel in a great little village

The family Kerschbaumer were very welcoming and could not do enough for you. Although the season was shoulder they still put on a great pizza night. Always very helpful

This place is beautiful and the staff is very nice! Imagine what a small town in the Austrian mountains looks like - this place is it! Beautiful scenery, clean rooms, and helpful staff. Not too far from Hallstatt. We would definitely stay here again!

Very nice hotel in Russbach!

We enjoyed our stay tremendously. The family welcomed us with a schnapps and a sign outside, and explained about routes and tours we could take. In summer we advice everyone to take the Hornbahn up to the mountains, and have a little stroll or longer walk as we had. Great also for kids. Their restaurant a bit aside offered great food and wine. After our mountain hike they heated the sauna, and the spa around it was new and very well done. Had a marvellous hour there! Also very good breakfast. Family driven hotel and very friendly staff.

Besser als erhofft

Bei der kurzfristigen Suche nach zwei Zimmern in einem preiswerten Hotel in der Nähe von Hallstatt sind wir auf das Hotel Kerschbaumer gestoßen. Die Einrichtung wurde vermutlich unlängst renoviert und die Zimmer haben uns sehr gefallen (siehe Fotos). Da haben wir bei drei Sternen schon ganz anderes erlebt. Das Personal war freundlich und bemüht. Das Frühstück war gut, die Auswahl groß und auch eine halbe Stunde vor Schluß noch alles ausreichend vorhanden. Die Badezimmer mit Dusche waren schön und sauber, was will man mehr. Bei der Abreise wurden wir noch darauf aufmerksam gemacht, dass wir bei zwei Übernachtungen auch eine gratis Fahrt mit der Seilbahn im Ort (Hornbahn) dabei hätten. Wurde genutzt und war auch sehenswert. Wir sind leider nicht dazu gekommen die Sauna auszuprobieren, vielleicht beim nächsten Mal.

This is where you want to stay. The staff are brilliant and will bend over backwards to help you with anything you need. Beautiful surrounds that you can take in while your having a fantastic breakfast.

Comfort with great service in the heart of Austria

A jewel in the Austrian countryside located in a small village about 15km from Hallstatt. The hotel is modern and clean and reasonably priced with a nice continental breakfast. The owners are friendly and went out of their way to assist us during our visit.
