"A tiny hotel next to the Balcony Walk, with an absolutely wonderful staff. The room itself was nice even if a bit basic (it did have, however, flushing toilet, a hot shower, and AC). The hotel provided a dinner and a breakfast, which were delicious and abundant. The location couldn’t be better. The sunrise view is hands down something to be remembered for life.
We noticed a few downsides - no dealbreakers and no major issues, but something to keep in mind. Firstly, if you’re afraid of spiders...

"Our experience at Hotel Indigo was nothing short of exceptional. Set against the stunning backdrop of the Mountains, the location offers unmatched views.
The service was flawless—warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming.
The rooms were spacious, elegantly designed, and featured all the modern comforts, including floor-to-ceiling views that made each morning feel magical. Dining was a highlight, especially breakfast, which offered a delicious mix of local and international dishes.
We loved the infinity pool and the peaceful atmosphere throughout the property. Whether you're looking to explore or unwind, this hotel is the perfect base.
Highly recommended for anyone visiting Oman—luxury, comfort, and culture all in one place!

"Everything about this hotel exceeded our expectations—the view alone was breathtaking, but what truly stood out was the staff. They were so warm, personable, and genuinely eager to make our stay perfect. We got engaged at the Royal Point, and the team went above and beyond to make it unforgettable. From thoughtful gifts to the incredible service, it was more than we ever imagined. A special shout-out to Kim, who was amazing, Rum, who was fantastic, and every member of the team for being so kind.
Thank you for making our engagement so special—we couldn’t have wished for a better experience."
"Things which could be improved
Porters were taking other peoples cars luggage and leaving behind people like myself behind even though it was Eid holidays and it was busy no excuse to miss people who have been waiting patiently or pick and choose..
Complimentary drink glasses should be refreshed sooner than waiting like 20 min
Breakfast needs improvement omelette station and Que outside in the heat not a good idea especially where the Que is within stairs quite dangerous for elderly and children. Been staying here for last 5 years omelette station was better inside..Assam the activity guy was 5* amazing and kids really enjoyed it"
"Excellent property in the mountains of Oman, quiet and relaxing environment, lovely staff with personal touches and lots of activities to do. Nice warm pool and 2 hot tubs. "

We noticed a few downsides - no dealbreakers and no major issues, but something to keep in mind. Firstly, if you’re afraid of spiders or ants, this is not a good place. None of the windows/doors was properly sealed, so some of the “wildlife” will get in. Secondly, no wifi. Again, not a problem in a mountain spot. But sth to keep in mind. Thirdly, the door couldn’t be locked from inside. Given that animals around roam freely, we propped it just to make sure a random orix didn’t enter at night. And lastly, for the love of all that is holy, get a 4x4 car to get here. The road is unforgiving. Not the hotel’s fault, but again sth to keep in mind."
