"Okay place to stay one or 2 nights. The room is very okay, staff friendly and helpfull. Checkin starts at 15.00 This place is loceted in an industrial area. No seats outside. There is no place to spend time outside. Yeh, sit on the street.."

"Alles war sehr gut. Nur ein gewaltiger Minuspunkt, der diese Wohnung degradiert. Es ist eine Wohnung im 13. Stock zur Ostseite. Bereits um 5 Uhr in der Früh scheint die Sonne sehr, sehr stark gegen das Fenster. Die Vorhänge sing beige und lassen viel Licht durch. Hier sollte man Jalousien montieren."

"The room was excellent the location excellent the building excellent. There was no information in the room. I booked understanding it was a hotel but there were no hotel services, no towels changed no beds made up no room cleaned. Could have been perfect but missed the mark."

"Everything you needed inside of the unit (nicely equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, washer and drying rack, iron and ironing board, furnished balcony, TV), inside of the apartment tower (clean hallways, quiet elevator) to the outside of the gated complex (24 hour security on site, huge shopping center within 5 min walking). We felt safe and very comfortable all the time."

Imperial Hotel Ostrava

8/10 Good

"10 mins, # 14 tram, ride from main train station (get off at Elektra stop about 7 or stops from station) and then a 2 mins walk to hotel. Check in was easy although early, we just ended up having lunch in the lobby restaurant (great food) until room ready. Rooms were clean, although you could not adjust the temp and we found the rooms warm, especially when sleeping. Windows opened, but no screens. Breakfast was amazing and so good! Staff are very friendly and English was spoken by most. (This is a very quiet area we found when we went out walking). Overall, would definitely book again!"

"If you're booking a hostel to have a shower and sleep, I'd recommend booking elsewhere! This place fails at both. The bed is a cheap foam mattress, that was full of lumps and totally squashed on one side. This resulted in sleeping on about 40cm of mattress and even then i could feel the wood slats underneath. The shower is a joke. Temperature is set to 31°. Freezing cold, but that's ok, because when you press the 'eco friendly' water button, it stays on for a whole 3 seconds! So you have to push the button with one hand and wash with other while freezing your butt off. Add to that, there is a someone living in the room. Thinks the room is all his. Turns off all the lights at 9pm and makes annoyed noises if you dare turn them back on! Clothes, bags and food piled around his bed. He also never leaves, just lays on his bed all day in his underwear. Plenty of other better hostels in this city! "
