"Great location, centrally located for all of the trails, short walk into Grasmere was very convenient, restaurant was a great place to grab a good meal at the end of a long day"

"Friendly helpful staff. Great beer and ale selections."

"Rothay Manor was a beautiful and idyllic setting for our Lake District journey. The grounds, rooms, food and spaces were absolutely gorgeous, and the staff was incredibly kind and accommodating. 10/10 can't wait to return!"

"Great value for the money. Bunk Bed was too firm."

"Great stay"

"The room was spotless the food good & staff very helpful"

"Lovely flat in an excellent location."

"Amazing views from the place and a very cosy little apartment for two maybe a little bit less clutter and wires around the house would’ve been nicer. There is no need for so many gadgets like sky box BT players CD players music hi-fi."

"Overall great place to stay-clean, comfortable and great location. One complaint-nothing was stocked like other homes/apartments we have stayed. We had to buy garbage bags, soap, salt and pepper, even toilet paper, etc. morning was stocked. Amazing amount of dishes/cookware in the kitchen, but that was it. I wish we would have known, we could have packed some of this from home. Other than that, good stay!"

"Clean and fully equipped kitchen. Very comfortable beds and accommodation. Perfect location for hiking and ambling into town. Special views from the apartment. Decor a little dated, power shower excellent but cubicle small. Missed having a washing machine for sports gear. Would book again as Ambleside and the Lakes are wonderful. "

"Bedroom wall had bad damp all over one wall which left a musty smell. Main room had only one blind which meant sun light woke me up at 4/30 am. Terrible mattress which was awful to sleep in. "
