Really enjoyed my stay here. First off, the property is top tier. Every nook and cranny is interesting (sometimes creepy) but very on theme and lovely to look at. The room had a nice size, big comfy bed, and lovely bathroom with all the amenities. Location is outstanding. Right in the middle of the town so you had easy access to all the coffee shops, restaurants and public transportation. This includes the funicular up to Fansipan! And the hotel offers a fast pass service for guests (for a fee). The food? Insane! The breakfast buffet had everything you could ever want AND they do change it up slightly after a few days. The highlight of this property for me was the pool and the gym. Prob the best pool I’ve ever swam in, in my life. Just so architecturally beautiful. And the service? Exceptional! Every single staff that I’ve encountered was nice and helpful. Overall really happy with my stay here and would consider going back (if only the trek up to the city didn’t take so long).

Unfortunately, the rooms were misty and had a strange smell, which took away from the overall comfort. Our biggest disappointment was with the front desk staff, who were not very friendly or helpful. There was an incident where my sister needed to exchange more money. The hotel had advised her to take a taxi from Sapa to Hanoi but failed to mention that the driver would only accept cash. When the driver arrived early in the morning and said he only took cash, the hotel then told her they could not exchange more money for her and suggested she go outside to exchange, which was not practical or helpful at that hour. Their response felt very rude and unaccommodating, and we had to get the manager involved. Since I was staying in a different room, I was able to exchange money for her myself. Overall, the hotel is visually stunning, but the room issues and poor front desk service seriously affected our experience.

The hotel is stunning and staff was great. It’s a grand hotel that has an old world charm. We opted for the deluxe suite that provided us with a magnificent view of the town and mountains. We will definitely return to this wonderful hotel. And the breakfast buffet is outstanding.
