"The hotel is definitely dated. You don’t notice it as much when you first walk in, but once you get to the hallways where the rooms are, you certainly do — including a bit of that “old church” smell. That said, everything was very clean and comfortable. The location is fantastic — right on the harbour and within easy walking distance of almost everything. There is currently construction directly outside, but it didn’t bother us and we couldn’t hear it from inside. Breakfast was fine and the dining room was lovely. My favourite part was that after breakfast it was essentially empty for the rest of the day. They played classical piano music, and I spent quite a bit of time working there. It was quiet, peaceful and fabulous. We booked two rooms. Both were dated, although the two-queen room was considerably more dated than the loft suite. The loft had a harbour view, a comfortable couch for sitting and chatting, and a well-stocked kitchenette. We didn’t cook, but it was great for simple things like making popcorn. The loft layout takes some getting used to, with the bed upstairs and bathroom downstairs, and the TV placement isn’t particularly practical. Still, the space worked well for us. If you’re looking for modern, this isn’t it, but it’s clean, comfortable and incredibly well located."

"Beautiful property with convenient lounge restaurant and a beer/wine market next door. The room was very comfortable, nice bed, linens, towels, hair dryer, makeup mirror everything you need. The in room coffee expressos were very tasty and appreciated. The staff was very professional and friendly. The staff helped us store our bicycles downstairs as in the daytime there is a bicycle valet across the street from this hotel, which is so great to keep your bike while shopping Johnson street, china town ect. though it closes at 8p, so the staff helped us store bikes downstairs in a safe spot for our overnite. Would stay here again due to all the convivence of location and tasty coffees. Orbitz vip had a free drink offer, (note usually it is for a beer, they did offer gourmet sparkle water, which was nice but beer is more fun, lol;)"
