A beautiful period farm set in the tranquil welsh countryside, the perfect place to go to get away from the busy city life. The bedroom was comfy and well presented with everything you need and the cooked breakfast in the morning was excellent. Highly recommended.

Beautiful 1537 farmhouse with super comfy beds, excellent, locally sourced breakfast, welcoming host and great location ...what’s not too love Even little sewing kit and shoe polish provided in a warm welcoming home that was full of a lifetime of memories Would love to visit again 😊 Thank you xx

Old Wales with modern amenities

David and Anwen are wonderful hosts. Stayed here four nights. Our room gave us a view of the pastures of Holsteins grazing on this working dairy farm. Two calf’s, born the previous week, were in the barn. This farmhouse was built about 1587 and is the first brick building in Wales. David’s family are only the second owners. In spite of the age of the building, our room was comfortable with all modern amenities (best shower of all the places we stayed on our two week trip through the UK) and a wardrobe from the late 1500’s. Anwen served homemade jelly and compote with the home cooked breakfast. If you want the twin beds put together for a king, tell hosts up front. The B&B is on a secondary road off the main highway between Ruthin and St. Asaph. GPS will only work so far. Best to call to get specifics on directions from where you are. Location is not far from shopping and all sites in North Wales. We will stay here again when visiting friends in the area.
