"First and foremost the staff where absolutely fantastic. The building is aging and not much has been done to keep things current. Our room had no windows and was very hot and stuffy. Staff provided a fan but we had to leave the door open to the room after every shower otherwise it was unbearable.
There was a light in our room that was non functioning and you could tell by looking at it that it was fried. Tv dos not work the first night(we where offered another room but did not want to lug all of our items to another room)
Wallpaper in the bathroom was stained.
Will reiterate staff was wonderful.
At the end of the day it was an inexpensive hotel stay but Travelodge really needs to invest in this location
Breakfast selection was just ok. I've been to other continental breakfasts with much better selection. I've also seen worse.

"Basically, you are getting a facility similar to a motel, still present as Star Hotel. I have known this group for 16 years. Recently, I found that the standards and quality of this particular hotel have declined, with untrained staff and many other areas needing improvement and upgrading."
" Very slow when checking in. Should train employees before putting them in charge at night shift. Took over 10 minutes to get my room key and process deposit.
Employee at the reception had a hard time registering me on a laptop like it was the first time him working in checking a guest in."

10/10 Excellent
"Loved the drinks and dinners. Very nice presentation and flavor! Staff are attentive and knowledgeable. Very nice surprise. The bed and bedding are great. Comfortable with the felling of luxury. Will go back again and again. Ten Spa. Check it out and use it. Fantastic relaxation. "
"Friendly staff, beautiful rooms with view of the river and a hop skip and a jump from Cibo’s by the river which is an excellent restaurant!
The AC/heating is much too loud though so we turned it off and the bar fridge was also extremely loud so we unplugged it. But otherwise super!!"
"Our family chose this hotel because the Grand Suite allowed a second room for the adults to hangout while the children were sleeping - and the suite did not disappoint in that regard. The suite was large enough for our 4 year old to setup her tent to sleep in, and for our infant to sleep in his portable sleep space as well, while the adult had a room to ourselves. The main space is accessible through french doors to the bedroom as well as through the bathroom, which is a great feature.
Other great features included easy parking, a decent pool with hot tub and easy access to restaurants if we wanted to utilize them.
Where things fell short for us, was with a couple things failing. The toilet was constantly running (annoying, but overall not a huge problem), and the plug to the sink for the kitchenette broke into three pieces, with one piece jamming in the sink. These two issues were reported to the staff the first morning we headed down to leave. The staff asked if they could access our room while we were gone, and we agreed. Upon returning at the end of the day, nothing had been resolved. I pried the plug out of the sink with a fork so we could continue using the sink. When we checked out the next morning, I reported the issues again, and while apologetic - no one seemed concerned that this wasn't resolved.
Overall, we would likely stay at this hotel again for the space, but would hope staff is more responsive, and the space is in better condition overall. "
