This was a wonderful respite from our very busy lives! We have stayed in Paris before and wanted something more off the beat and path—this hit the mark! Fanxi was an amazing hostess and a wealth of knowledge. She was prompt with a response to any questions we had regarding navigating the area. I am a runner and she recommended the perfect locations which made our time at Villa Talisman that much more enjoyable. Our penthouse room was really great—multiple balconies to enjoy the surroundings and sunset of course. The bed was very comfortable and the room spacious. We were easily able to Uber to and from Paris no problem and certainly enjoyed returning to the peace and quiet this fabulous B & B offers! We will definitely return. Beautifully decorated and clean house and rooms. Host was very friendly and helpful all the time making sure the stay was perfect all the time. Great breakfast.

On the positive, I liked the spacious room and nice view. The terrace/garden was great. On the negative, I was charged an additional half day (early check-in) because I arrived at 9am instead of 2pm. We were also not provided with cutlery when requested for our take out dinner in the dining room.

Dear Brian, Thanks for your review. To respond to your negative points, i do not think your comments are fair. We are Bed & Breakfast, we only serve bed and breakfast for the guests. We have no additional employee to serve guests cutlery or dinner etc...There are restaurants and pubs in walking distance. Regarding your check in, our check in time is 5 - 8pm, it is clearly written on all the sites. You should have respect the rules like any other guests before your reservation. In case you need to request an early check-in, you should have sent us an email to request few days before your arrival date in stead of assuming the room is available to check in at 9am. There are no any hotels will accept 9am check in unless you agree to pay another day. Upon your arrival, i explained all these to you, and i offer you two options: option 1, you can leave your luggage and come back at 2pm which i already give you 3h advance check in; option 2, you need to pay for half day in order to check in at 9am, and you agreed. We are sorry that your experience in our establishment is not fully satisfied as you expected. We wish you all the best. Fanxi

First Time but I'll be Back
This was my first time at the Talisman. It is a truly unique hotel, safe, private, wonderfully designed, excellent rooms and services, friendly welcome, heated pool, and an art gallery. A great place for a quiet business visit or a romantic couples retreat. Not the place for a rowdy weekend.

The most wonderful place to stay. Everything about the Talisman is of the highest quality and the attention to detail is second to none. Best of all, the hosts Fanxi and Thierry are attentive and genuinely just want you to have the best possible experience. A tranquil, restful haven.

A pretty bed and breakfast with cozy atmosphere, which made me feel relaxed. The staff has been very helpful, and I would like to come back here in the next biz trip.

Super B&B, Clean, comfortable and very friendly
It's a very beautiful and clean B&B and the swimmingpool is great. Service was very good because they really listen to their guests. I asked something , other than water to drink, when I arrived but they had nothing else. The morning after, the lady of the house (Fanxi) had put some nice whisky and other alcoholic beverages for the guests. Super. Maybe a tip: offer also some beers, wine and softdrinks. There's a small 'empty' minibar in the room, so put in some drinks. My room was very nice, clean and very comfortable, but a little bit noissy (street, airplanes and in the morning breakfastpeople). Overall it was a very good experience and a place to go to when you need a place to stay.

Please note that we are only a bed and breakfast in a private house, and we have plenty of nice bars and restaurants nearby where guests can enjoy their evening. Next time, please try other rooms like Tourmaline or Emeraude which are facing the garden and terrace side....they are guaranteed no noises. ;)) hope to see you again soon...
