"I’ll give it negative stars if I could. Arrived at 11:30 pm, checked in and when I got into our room, it was a complete mess. It wasn’t cleaned at all. They offered us another room which is the one in their motel area or they will clean the room immediately but We were driving all the way from NS for the whole day and was very tired and accepted the downgrade room. I don’t have the energy to argue and just wanted to rest. The room smells and the linens were so old. The AC is loud as well. I won’t be back nor would recommend the place. "
"Quick check in, very nice staff! Rooms are nicely renovated and very clean. Lovely safe and quaint area to stay.
No hair dryer, however one was available at reception to borrow. There was a charge for coffee in rooms. "
"Booked this room because it had a full kitchen so we could make dinner and breakfast to save some money on our journey to newfoundland. Was disappointed when there was little to no utensils,no glasses,1 soup mug,no pans or oven ware. 1 pot,1 tiny fork. Keurig coffee with no cups in the room. Outside access door was taped shut still from the winter and i was told i could use i just had to remove the tape myself to use it if i wanted. No wifi displayed in room had to call front desk for it and had no pen and paper pad in room to writedown the wifi. Place felt unready to me and i would have chose different accommodation if i had my time back. Area is nice, room was clean but lacked alot of basics that one would expect renting a room with a kitchen and oven. Was disappointed over all."
"This auberge is a little gem. A warm and friendly inn keeper, a friendly cat, a beautiful quiet lakeside location, a clean cheery well appointed room. The property is more motel than hotel since the rooms are down the hill from the main house and have outdoor entrances however he living room and the porch are open for use by the guests. The rooms are well equipped with coffee pots, a toaster, a microwave, and a little cabinet with dishes, glasses, and silverware. Be advised that unlike some of the older reviews there is no restaurant on the premises and they do not serve breakfast. This was a lovely little surprise after a long day of travel! "
