"Very hospitable owners. The place is a little rustic, but clean and comfortable. We ate both evenings there and the food was very good and reasonably priced. The pool area is the sun all day and the garden is lovely. We stayed two nights and the room wasn’t serviced but that was ok for us. I can’t say enough how great the hosts were, really nice people. "

"Paul and Nicky could not have been better hosts. Always there to help book restaurants and suggest good restaurants to go to. Evening meals were excellent and their company also welcoming and entertaining. This is a well keep Chambre D’hôtes extremely clean. Very stylish and well equipped. The room i stayed was huge ! Nice little village in beautiful countryside. Would recommend to anyone."

"Despite our reservation having been confirmed, the person we contacted on the phone the day before arriving said that she had no trace of our reservation.... She said she was only doing AirB&B. She was full and said there no way she would accommodate us despite our reservation having been made nearly 3 months before. The person on the phone was unpleasant. I asked her to find a solution but she was extremely unhelpful. It seems to me that this hotel uses several partners to optimize their room...

"I think this property far exceeds the way it is described online. It is a bed and breakfast not a hotel so there isn't a front desk. The room was lovely and clean. The madame who ran the place was polite and friendly. The continental breakfast was pleasant and enjoyable - croissants, yoghurt, cheese and meat. There is free parking on the road outside and the property is right in the centre of Chalais. There are numerous little shops within metres of the property. If you go to this region, I...
