"⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4/5 Stars – Beautiful Location, Amazing Staff & Great Entertainment! I had a wonderful stay at Lakeside Inn in Wakefield, MA. The location is absolutely beautiful, and the front desk staff went above and beyond to help me. After a missed flight connection, several failed Uber pickups at the airport, and my brand-new luggage being damaged by the airline, I was completely exhausted & in tears. The staff noticed me struggling and kindly carried my 50 lbs. suitcase for me. That small act of kindness meant so much. Please tip! The complimentary breakfast was delicious, and the bar was LIVE! Karaoke, a live band, and even tarot card readers! Such a fun atmosphere! Now, the hotel is an older establishment, and the rooms could definitely use a good deep cleaning. I recommend bringing slippers or flip-flops because the carpet was pretty dingy. The shower drain was clogged with hair, but thankfully, that was an easy fix once I removed it. The iron also had burn marks, so I was extra cautious using it. Despite those minor issues, I genuinely enjoyed my stay! I wasn’t spending much time in my room other than sleeping, so it was perfect for what I needed. The beautiful surroundings, friendly staff, delicious breakfast, and lively entertainment made up for the room’s shortcomings. I would absolutely recommend this place, especially if you appreciate a charming older hotel with character and great hospitality!"

"I had a great stay here! The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, which made for a very pleasant stay. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout my visit. Parking was also convenient and easy to access. Overall, a comfortable and convenient place to stay, and I would definitely consider staying here again."

"The rooms were clean and had kitchens. The staff were nice. There is a very good supermarket nearby (5 minute walk). There are lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance. If you don’t have a car and want to go to Boston, go out the south side of the hotel. Walk up the hill (2 minutes). Cross the street. At the top is the 350 bus stop. You can pay with a credit card. Get off at Alewife station, and take the train."
