The staff were helpful and friendly. We saw employees cleaning common areas all day every day. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we loved the creative use of the building to make these cozy and comfortable rooms. I appreciated the free coffee in the morning. Just wish I had enough time to try out the sauna-guess we will have to return soon. This hotel/community space project is an innovative concept and we were happy to be able to experience being a part of it. We will be back!
Close to many restaurants and easy access to downtown and freeways. Easy parking along street with additional parking lots on the same block. Activities at the hotel are awesome and staff was so pleasant. Also, the rooftop bar on site has great views and Cam, one of the bartenders, went above and beyond with customer service. Won’t stay anywhere else when coming to Salt Lake for work.
Rooms and facilities really clean-was construction going on next door but didn’t hear any of it in our room-room was on the smaller side but manageable.
Loved the vibe, the common spaces, the industrial aesthetic. Friendly staff, convenient location. Our family bunk room was nice, but could use some attention… curtain around bunks was not hung properly & several hooks were completely undone, walls could use some touch up paint, there was blue toothpaste stuck on the bathroom ceiling, & the hole cut for the sprinkler was unfinished. Everything seemed clean though! We’d definitely stay again, just want to mention a few easy touches that would make a difference.
This was an overnight stay for a music festival we were attending. The EVO was in walking distance of the venue and also some very tasty dining options. To be honest, the area looks sketchy at first sight but it is anything but sketchy. We safely walked to a restaurant and then the venue and much later
First off - staff was amazing. Friendly, accommodating, informative. No shade on any of the staff. But this place is trash. The raw finishes on the wood collect so much dust, I couldn't breathe. Concrete was dusty. The raw particle board was dusty. Dust is just everywhere, choking me.
The place kept advertising how inclusive it was, yet the disabled are not included, as there are pointless stairs EVERYWHERE. I am not disabled, but I was always having to wrestle with my rolling carry-on, and I weep for someone with disabilities to try and navigate the space. Pointless tight turns. Pointless sunken areas. Pointless landings to nowhere. It grates on the psyche...
The room had an exposed sloped ceiling that I guarantee I was not the first or last to bash their head on, and I am pretty sure the raw cement wall had blood stains from the ceilings last victim. It was ugly. It was dysfunctional. It was trendy. (Ugh - it had one of those terrible open concept showers where you get a very drafty backside).
I get they were trying to establish a raw, urban vibe - to make you feel like you had just run away to join a clandestine ninja gang known only as "The Foot", but it really just made me nervous about tetanus...and have to blow my nose a lot. My 22 year old daughter was even more uncomfortable. Either lean fully into the motif and offer sewer apartments with wax ninja turtles, or stop trying so hard to be edgy. It was the opposite of Cowabunga...
We got in after 1am. The lady at the desk was friendly and helpful. The room was very nice and clean. It actually was a good deal for the price. We had the back of our truck loDed so the security guard out front was much appreciated.
We highly recommend this property.
Great value for the hotel being in downtown and having rock climbing and yoga included. Hotel rooms are very modern looking and a little plain but the bed was comfortable.
