"Never used the kitchen but it appeared to be well stocked. Temperature controls in the room seemed to work great. Everything was nice and clean. A nice place to stay."
"Nice quite stay. We were upgraded to a cabin. Very quite. Would be nice to have more comfortable chairs in the room rather than those wooden folding chairs. Food at the restaurant was also very good."
"Waterfront room balcony with beautiful view of snow covered mountains. Very close to skookumchuck provincial park and one museum.
Kitchen has all the necessary things, except oven ( room 202).
Mark is very kind person and helpful. It was nice talking to him.
If I go there definitely, I will stay here only."
"One hour before my "Free Cancellation" window was set to expire, the property sent a message via the Expedia platform demanding a higher daily room fee. They claimed that the discounted rate—a verified rate for Expedia.ca registered users—had been posted without their approval. Although the property did eventually honor the original rate, the timing of the demand was highly stressful.
Communication regarding access was also difficult. I had to text the property to get the lock-box code for late check-in, as it was supposed to be sent the morning of arrival. Even after I reached out, they simply insisted it had already been sent. We ultimately had to call the front desk in the afternoon asking for the code over the phone.
As for the unit itself, the King Bed Suite facing the street is spacious, clean, and the kitchen is well-equipped. Parking is easy in the front after 7pm. However, I wasn't comfortable with the slightly sloping parking area in the back; it is difficult to navigate the two-story outdoor staircase with both hands holding stuffs after dark. There is also a note asking guests not to change the mode on the thermostat, but the bedroom became too warm and stuffy. Additionally, the bathroom seems to lack a vent, which causes a strange smell to linger if the door remains closed. Despite these issues, I liked the property overall—especially the location—and would stay here again.
