The only inconvenience is that hotel is about 1.5 km from city centre but it is convenient for travellers having private transport (car). Taxi is typically expensive from the railway station (ranging between 23 to 30 Euro."

"The property was great. The rides on the tram were anything but good. Crowded, my travel companion had his cell phone stolen by a pickpocket on our first day. The second day, another thief got his waller out of a zippered pocket under his shirt, but someone on the train saw it. We were able to chase the thief and he threw the wallet on the ground. Hold everything very close to you. Florence was beautiful, but I would never go there again. In the two days there, there were at least acts of thievery and one physical attack. It is not a safe place."

Staff friendly and knowledgeable. Recommended 2 restaurants within a block of hotel. Difficult to navigate traffic on foot, but worth it. Very good food, surprisingly good table wine."
