Hotels in Near East Side

"When checking in, I was unaware of a parking fee. I believe that should have been in the description or detail section when booking. There was no mini fridge or microwave in the rooms. If you charge for parking, there should be enough funds for at least a mini fridge. Walking into our room, there was hair on the floor under the deck and in the bathroom. Mold is growing in the corner of the bathroom and above the light switch. There was pee on the side of the toilet. The swimming pool was dirty; I understand nature; however, someone should have been out there every day cleaning. I watched as the hotel's guests cleaned the pool for the staff. Dust was on the ceiling. I asked multiple times for service for my room, and no one came. The carpet hadn't been vacuumed. TV went in and out. The guide to the TV didn't work. "

"We didn’t end up staying in the property. We arrived and it was dirty and smelled bad. The floors were so sticky and dirty. There were white spots on the living room curtains, the living room smelled like feet and I saw a bug crawling on the floor. Upstairs the same thing with the floor, quite frankly nothing felt clean. Downstairs there is a sliding/glass door that locks only by a tiny latch. The house is not fenced in and the neighborhood looked sketchy. I didn’t feel safe/comfortable having my family there. So we checked in to the Grand Hyatt on the riverwalk. "

"Front desk was good the rooms are clean but the lobby needs some revamping. No amenities on the property so you are forced to stay in your room. Neighborhood looks rundown and shady but close to river walk. All in all the property is ok for a day or two but I would not recommend it for a family vacation stay. "

"We went to an event at the Alamodome and the hotel was close enough so we could walk, which was really nice. We parked our car at the hotel and didn’t worry about extra parking at the Alamodome. It was clean and the staff were super nice and helpful. Just a few weird things like…there was a cabinet where a fridge would usually go, but the knob was taken off and you couldn’t get in there. And the shampoo was in a package. That was fine - we were only there one night and didn’t need to wash our hair. But his little things like that, which made me not give 5 stars. Liked our stay overall and we felt safe and staff were great. "
