Perfect place to stay in San Antonio although the valet parking is overpriced. The hotel takes many of the free street parking places for their valet and that is simply unfair or maybe illegal because they don't own the street area.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 30th Anniversary staycation at the Thompson! The staff was amazing and all of the outings that we were driven to in the House Car by Connie were fantastic. The champagne and cheesecake that was unexpectedly delivered to our room for our anniversary was the icing on the cake. We will definitely be back!

This property is expensive based on the room and the facility available. If someone is looking very close proximity to riverwalk then it make sense.

Great experience overall, limited dining options, the food served at the hotel for breakfast and the rooftop are just very average basic but not bad. Biggest gripe was they didn’t notify us until the day of that they would be closing the pool for a fashion show. We went to see our son who’s graduating from the military and got family day. We specifically booked this hotel for the pool so when he got off base he would be able to enjoy the pool (he loves to swim) so that was our biggest let down. However without that and all things considered I would still recommend this hotel for its exceptional cleanliness and great customer service

The service at Thompson was top notch. Really impressed with water stations, the rooms, the restaurants, but most impressed by service from everyone in the hotel! Would definitely return again!!
