The hotel is lovely; we stayed in one of the casitas that had a living room with fireplace, kitchen, bedroom and bath. Think large wooden beams like a forest cottage. The views out our windows were of the lake and mountains beyond. The hotel has an outdoor pool, sauna and hot tub. The dining room is the same wooden beam design with a large fireplace and great views. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Do NOT stay here! The main woman at the desk always gave us the wrong information: we asked for recommendations to the best restaurant and she sent us to a mediocre one with poor food and no lake view! She sent us and another guest to the cable car in a uber on a day the website said it was Closed! due to wind. She couldn’t change any money and told us she could easily find a guide who spoke English for a 3hr lake tour but when he showed up he didn’t speak English and when we asked her again the next day she couldn’t find one. The free breakfast buffet is skimpy, but the worst thing is not being able to trust anything Delfina - who is the only staff available to ask - anything!

The staff at Charming Luxury Lodge is absolutely fantastic and made us feel so welcomed and taken care of. They truly went above and beyond to accommodate us with the best room, restaurant recommendations, and even packed us breakfast to go when we had to drive instead of flying home due to cancellations.

Our total experience was fantastic. From the ideal location to the picturesque views out our balcony to the wonderful food at the hotel’s restaurant, Stag. However, what stood out most of all was the fantastic service and how we were treated. The property is family owned and that’s exactly how they treated us - like family. Received a tour of the property’s expansion currently under construction - Wow, it’s going to be amazing. First rate, would recommend without reservation!

Our suite was clean, spacious and had many amenities. A mini fridge, microwave, sauna, whirlpool tub and steam shower. The view from the room was spectacular and we enjoyed gazing out the window at the view of the lake and mountains. The breakfast buffet had a variety of foods and also made to order options. The hotel is about a 15 minute drive to the centre of town. Flavio, at the front desk is very friendly and helpful. It’s a beautiful place to stay!

This was perhaps the finest facility we have ever experienced in our extensive travels around the world. Property with a rustic interior reminiscent of the Swiss alps, and most rooms had a privileged view of the lake where you can hear the lapping waves. Breakfast menu was fixed everyday except for the eggs where you have several options to choose from so you could have a different style each day, nonetheless the food was delicious. However, service was rather inconsistent. With some staff, there were several communication lapses which diminished the quality of stay at this price point, for example forgetting our instructions to replenish the soap and shampoo. But other staff went the extra mile to brighten up your day and made communication, both in person and over WhatsApp, seamless.
