"Casa de Amistad is a special place. The owners are incredibly welcoming, friendly and helpful. The place is tastefully decorated, the entire property is like a little oasis from the outside world with orchids growing and a quiet garden area in addition to the very clean and pleasant pool. They had everything we needed from beach chairs and umbrellas to guidebooks to the island. We used the shared kitchen and it was clean and well equipped. I would highly recommend the place."
"The Sea Gate Hotel was a wonderful place for us to stay and enjoy Vieques! We shared a huge balcony with our friends and that provided a big space to hang out together. The balcony literally always had a refreshing breeze and the views of the town, mountain and sea were so amazing! The rooms are older and provide everything you need with a kitchen area and a bedroom with a bathroom. The bed was soft and comfortable- appreciate that amazing memory foam mattress! Kelly could not have been more helpful, kind or caring- she is an excellent host!!! This is a small family run hotel that has been there for decades and we all really liked it. It is not fancy in any way, but it is a great place to stay. There is an adorable small three foot pool that was built for Kelly when she was a child and it provides a refreshing cool dip. They also have horses and horseback riding. We would definitely stay again with Kelly and Penny. Take away breakfast is minimal and in a small room, but was appreciated with fruit, toast & juice. We were very happy with our stay!"
"Our suite was lovely. I appreciated that there was no television. We enjoyed the small pool. Jeannette, who checked us in, was so much fun to talk to. Like everyplace in PR that we visited, Old Crow is very clean. It's a large facility, and upkeep must be a challenge. A few areas could use a refresh. For instance, the umbrellas you see in their promotional photos are faded at this point, but the poolside area is still lovely. There was also a portion of the deck outside of our room had no support underneath. I think the climate must make it difficult to maintain exteriors. "
"The villa is situated on a hill with a beautiful view. It is in a gated complex which felt even safer. The whole island felt very safe. There is a long and very bumpy road to get there. The pool area is superb! The villa has 4 beach chairs and one snorkel set. Ample towels and change of sheets. Easy garbage disposal. Lovely and responsive hosts. "
