"The property is well kept. The staff was very pleasant, especially Edgar that was mostly at the door. He was very attentive when we needed to get transportation to go in town and would translate to the drivers. The food was excellent at the specialized restaurant."

"It is value for money definitely. On the outside (and inside) it is a very old property. Like if not decades, but many many years and it shows. But you get what you pay for. Few things I did like about the property is that the rooms are really large. I was on the ground floor and had an outer sitting balcony , then a small working area room (with coffee machine), then the bedroom, and then between the bedroom and the bathroom a closet space. Things are not spick and span though, line you sit on the pot and there’s a sink in the ground right in front with some old looking stuff, but the cleaners do their job. They also provide you two bottles of water on check in free, free transport to airport back and fro and decent breakfast with hot and cold dishes. The restaurant area Actualy looks like some resort from Thailand. Also if you’re looking for a tour , the resort is included as pickup point on most tours. People at front desk seem genuinely over worked though. If I visit San Jose again on a short (2-3 days) trip, I would stay here again. I paid less than 80 usd a room and hence its value for money including the fact I didn’t have to take an Ubers (which are illegal in Costa Rica) to and from the airport !"

"We really enjoyed our stay on our last night in Costa Rica. Staff was friendly, on-site restaurant was delicious! Walking distance to a few restaurants and a market. Pool was nice. The property itself is showing its age. Our room had a musty smell, but was very clean otherwise. Airport shuttle was very convenient! Would stay here again."

"Brand new property; very clean and well designed. Beautiful lobby with separate lounge and reading spaces, dining space, bar and outside seating. Excellent self serve buffet breakfast with wide variety of hot and cold food options and even some cook to order items (eg. eggs cooked to order). Free social on Wednesday evenings with food and drinks. Very friendly and helpful staff. Large, beautiful rooms (no carpet!) with lovely mountain views, full sized fridge, and well designed bathroom. Located near a small shopping and restaurant area with a mid-sized grocery store with excellent fresh baked goods! Perfect for snacks and desserts. Rental car company and tour company on-site. Close to the airport but not close to shopping or the city."
