This place is a modern apartment complex in a great neighborhood. I wish the bed had been a little more comfortable. And my son wishes that the weights in the weight room were not locked up. Oh, and there were loud barking dogs in the room next to us. But otherwise, this place is clean, modern, and located in a great neighborhood.

This property is immaculate and quite new. The room is spacious, with room for 4 to sleep as long as you don't mind bedsharing. The room has a small full kitchen, a washer and dryer, a sitting area, dining area, sleeping area and ample closet space. The balcony has room to sit and the wall is completely made of windows with a sweet view of the city and mountains. The TV was simple to use, and the washing machine got all our clothes (nasty from the jungle) smelling great. Onsite parking was available and after you get used to the lift (staff will help) easy. The neighborhood is adorable with great restaurants walking distance and beautiful murals. We returned here from an ecolodge in the jungle and the place felt so comfortable and easy. Highly recommend.

I was not allowed to extend for a third night without paying the property fees and extra fees plus taxes. It would have been very easy for the Bee employee to merely extend my reservation charging me the nightly rate. Instead she required a new reservation and offered the same room I was still in during my stay for significantly more than the advertised price. Aside from the check in being very corporate and more complicated than needed, I had to leave my room and could not get back into it until the new check in time even tho my personal items were in the room. It’s 3:41 and check in as at 3 and I have yet to receive the new code. The employee I exchanged messages with from Bee was unhelpful. Aside from this, let me say I LOVE this apartment building and all of its reception staff! I typically stay at a privately owned and operated studio when it’s available as I come to Escalante monthly for a weekend class. The check in process was more complicated than with the privately operated studio even tho it’s in the same building. I also will stress this is an apartment building, not a hotel. The location is walking distance to shops, cafes, and excellent restaurants. Most importantly the location is safe & QUIET! The garage is very convenient. This unit was clean and comfortable. Look for hidden costs and don’t assume extending your stay is an option without rebooking and being required to leave your room until the 3 pm check in time.

The unit was clean and had a nice view of San Jose. The kitchen had the essentials, and it was nice to have a washing machine and dryer in the unit. We also appreciated having a doorman for the building.

Nice apartment in very cool neighborhood

It was a good stay! A geat unit with a nice view and rooftop lounge. A few minutes walk to awesome restaurants, coffee shops and a little park. Also close to the crafts festival which I believe occurs on Saturdays. I would stay here again.

Beautiful room. Very clean and comfy beds. Washer/dryer was a plus. Kitchen with full size appliances & dining area. On 11th floor with huge balcony & a beautiful view. Roof top area was very nice and we did enjoy one evening in the hot tub. Check in was easy and everyone we came in contact with was super. Would definitely recommend. Nice area not far from San Pedro mall.

This is my second time staying and BEE Suites Escalante. I will always stay here when I come to Costa Rica. Great place to stay and Escalante is a very nice area with a ton of restaurants and bars.
