Great for the price

As someone who's been poor all my life, I've become a connoisseur of cheap hotels. This stay was excellent for the price. I had low expectations, and they were significantly exceeded. This is the perfect place if you need a place to stay on a budget and aren't too concerned about amenities. Staff was friendly and unobtrusive

Enjoyed my room that had been totally renovated with all the conveniences. Centrally located to downtown in easy walking distance to all of the attractions. It was easy to find and easy access from the Freeway.

Although clean, the room was very run down. Paint and lineoleum was old and pitted, carpet stained, no headboard. Thankful the A/C worked but too loud to run at night. Able to use ceiling fan. Did feel safe, busy road but fairly quiet at night

Perfect for business trips

I’ve tried many motels in the area. This one is the best if you are looking for something simple, cheap, comfortable, and quiet their in room. AC was very quiet. I enjoyed my stay here. This is ideal if you are going on a short business trip

I checked. They charged a $10 fee for early check-in, which I never paid when staying at other properties. Property looked old and dated, and seemed like no updates or improvements done for years. I ended up checking out a few hours later and stayed at another hotel

A decent place to sleep...but that's it.

First, I wasn't expecting much given the price of this inn, but it still left a lot to be desired. If you just need a place to sleep with clean sheets and don't want to break the bank, then this is your place. But if you are with family or a couple even, I would not recommend this Inn. There were a lot of things that could be updated (carpet w/stains, curtains w/stains, old vanity in bathroom with what looked like mold at the bottom, old bed, and walls that could be fixed re painted.) I guess you get what you pay for...

Low cost, but you get what you pay for. Pro: good location, close to downtown SLO and the Thursday Market. Con: Shower did not drain properly, AC in closet was marginally effective. Parking spaces are tight. Overall condition is old and worn. Area around hotel has improved as new businesses have moved in.
