This property is in serious need of an upgrade. The sewage smell coming out of the sink, filthy doors, broken door frames and dirty floors. A real disappointment and waaaaaay overpriced. Just gross

I booked on Expedia. All went well until i was told i needed to make a $90 pet deposit I asked if the deposit was refundable and the answer from a female employee was "yes" I was not charged through Expedia, the deposit was tossed in at the last minute. I spent extra time cleaning the room and left a tip as I ANTICIPATED receiving my deposit back. when i checked out the man at the counter said i would not get my deposit back........but have NICE DAY.. By now the charge on my Wells Fargo card had gone up to over $102 for a pet deposit. I have a service animal. I felt ripped off. I will never stay at this Vagabond Inn in SLO again. They lack integrity and owe me a refundable pet deposit per the female working at the counter when I checked in. The man whom I checked out with said I had my cat on the bed. How would he know? my cat has his own bedding. Creepy

My neighbors played load music All night, certain it could be heard throughout the building. Its seems management turned a blind ear. Great spot close to all. Will stay again, price location cant beat it. A sleeping place when traveling for work.

Upon checking in, the front desk manager inquired if I would like to receive house keeping (room cleaning) during my 2 night stay. I said "Yes, please", and received no house keeping when I returned on the second evening. The front desk manager's response was "I must have clicked on the wrong thing when you checked in". This resulted in no new towels, emptied shower gel bottle, and unmade beds; we had to visit the front desk multiple times to rectify these issues. Further complicating matters, the loud Air Conditioner and the road noise made for 2 eventful evenings with little sleep. I understand the hotel cannot just pack up and move to a new location, but the noise from surrounding traffic and AC unit may be an issue to light sleepers.

The room had mold and stains on the sheets. Very disappointing. I had to go buy cleaning supplies to clean the room and bought a pillow to sleep on as well as a mattress cover.

A bare bones motel, clean but very basic. Shampoo and conditioner dispenser in the shower were not functional, but shampoo was ok. For a two night stay they changed the towels, but did not make the bed. Did not expect them to change the sheets, so why not straihghten the bed? Oh well, not a big deal, just general lack of attention to details and hence the rating.

Nice, clean motel with easy access to the freeway. It is also close to the Madonna Inn, restaurants and a grocery store. The room had a mini fridge which is always useful. The lower parking lot is shared with Denny’s restaurant, which depending on the time of day can make parking tricky, but very convenient for casual dining. Overall it’s a good budget friendly option.

Free parking was good Staff were fine, we did ask for an extra pillow, housekeeping did bring it. A/C was a little lacking - hard to reach - not as cool as we liked. You can get a discount at the Denny's next door.
