I have never stayed in a la Quinta like this! The room was gross. It smelled like mildew. The carpet was sticky, the sheets had stains on them. This was worst than a motel 6. Very disappointed

The lobby and dining area have been remodeled and were in good shape. The rooms had newer furnishings, however, be aware that this is an old motel with external doors that they just changed the locks to key card entries. The tub/shower dripped all night and there was mold on every surface in the shower/toilet area. It did have the basic amenities and is relatively close to the TX state campus.

Room was DIRTY. Literal dust and dirt falling from the curtains when we opened or closed them, the box spring cover had mud/blood and dust all around, doesn't appear to have been changed any time recently. I could feel how crusty the carpet was with just socks on, would not walk around barefoot. We checked in at 11p and were exhausted from travel, when we spoke with front desk staff the next morning about the unsatisfactory conditions, and they rolled their eyes and argued, saying we would have had to come complain about it the night before, and they weren't going to do anything. We are currently working on making a corprate level complaint to get reimbursed for this terrible stay.

Customer service and check in was great. Wasn't too ecstatic about having to put a $100 cash deposit vs a credit card but whatever, rules are rules. There was a group of men loitering outside my room for about 2 hours, they were loud, seemed like they were hanging out after work so i knew they would go to bed soon but still shouldn't be allowed. Number 1 thing I disliked was the smell of the room. I went to buy a candle or else i wouldn't have been able to sleep. Took dogs. comfortable mattress. This is a very old hotel that Wyndham has put a lot of cosmetic updates to. The breakfast room and breakfast were good. Limited area for walking dogs. Room smelled of cat urine. No hangars. Pillows need replacement. Moldy.

I was for one night in the room 117 with my wife a s 2 kids 17 and 12 and the TV was damaged, (i have pictures), the hairdryer not working to old not enought shampoo for 4 guest, the phone do not work too, in general the instalations are very old and careless.

The managers of this property are not investing anything in the property. Room was clean and staff was friendly but not enough staff apparently because complimentary breakfast was cancelled. Could be very nice if they updated fixtures and paint.
