"Valet guys were very nice, so was the woman who I checked out with. The room had a funny smell and everything in the hotel seemed pretty basic and nothing special. Surprisingly wasn’t too noisy for being in DTLA but there were a few homeless outside and rummaging through the garbage. Just a step up from a Motel 6 with a better location. Breakfast sucked and portions were small, wasn’t worth the money even with my 20% off discount. Probably wouldn’t go back."

"I would like to share my personal experience during my stay last week. We requested to give us a room which is little away from highway noise but instead was given the one which is closest :) Room had a weird smell every time you enter, not sure if it was wood or something else. Pillows were old and were definitely not comfortable, I had tried several but none of them was good enough. Bathroom fixtures were very old. Most troubling part was the nonstop cracking sound from AC Fan, like buzzing electricity. I reported that after check in and they sent some one who couldnt communicate in English. So he came and after few mins, shown some phone signs to us and then left.We never heard back if its going to fixed or room change can happen. We were also told by front desk, that this is general pattern in all rooms(which means all rooms have same problem). Don't know if it's due to very old AC's or issues with few rooms only as we never got a chance to check other rooms. Next day I went to universal early morning and came back in evening and called front desk again, i was then told that you were offered another room and you didnt wanna move, which was a surprise to me as no one reached out to me offering other room. Also, I was told that if I have any issues I should speak to General Manager next day. Now, there was no point to talking any one at the day of checkout, it wouldn't have helped in anything. I hardly slept both nights and decided that I wont ever stay here again."

"Restaurants were closed so would have been good to know in advance. Beds super comfy, bathroom so clean, towels super fluffy! Great views and staff and though we didn’t use the pool or tub, they looked nice. Laundry room was so useful and clean, gym was equipped really well, clean and great views. Staff were so helpful and friendly. 5 min walk to Universal. Spacious rooms - would definitely recommend. "
