I arrived in Telluride shortly after losing my father, during what has been one of the most difficult times in my life. When I checked in, I learned that the hotel had graciously upgraded our room. Waiting for me was a handwritten note of condolence and fresh flowers—an incredibly thoughtful gesture that I will never forget.
The General Manager Andrew and Asst Manager Zach were remarkable throughout our stay. Their kindness, respect, and genuine empathy went far beyond hospitality. They understood that sometimes the smallest gestures of compassion can mean everything to someone who is grieving, and they made my family feel truly cared for.
The experience throughout the rest of the hotel was equally outstanding. The food at the restaurant was excellent, and Chelsea (our server) was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming.
There are plenty of beautiful hotels in beautiful places - what sets Hotel Telluride apart are its people. True hospitality isn’t just about comfortable rooms or great service, it’s about making people feel cared for, especially when they need it most.
