"Wow, the experience at Chomi House was amazing! We were the only guests on the property, and the individualized attention was incredible. The host made great breakfasts and dinners, arranged any private tour we wanted, showed us sloths and monkeys and cacao trees on or around the property. And our private pool was lovely! The staff truly makes this place shine and creates an atmosphere that feels both adventurous and comforting. A few areas for improvement: The rooms unfortunately lacked functional charging options. While there were two USB ports, they didn’t work—not just in our room but in others as well. We had to rely on the dining room or lobby to charge our devices, which was inconvenient. There was also no hot water in the rooms at all, which can be tough after long, active days in the rainforest. The Lake Sandoval tour itself was beautiful and well worth doing, but the meal provided during the tour was quite disappointing. For a $70 experience, we expected more than two very basic sandwiches—one with dry pulled chicken, the other with a small piece of cheese on dry bread—especially after seeing other groups enjoy more complete meals. "
