"We loved the view, privacy, helpfulness of the staff when we had rental car issues and relaxing atmosphere at the Hotel Collinetta. The room was lovely and the air conditioning very much appreciated as it was quite warm for our stay. We ate at the restaurant several times during our 4 night stay and loved every meal. The breakfast was wonderful also. Collinetta was the highlight of our 2 week trip to Switzerland. We would definitely stay again."

"Fantastic stay! Stunning property and in an excellent location. Our room was the Mountain View and it was everything we needed. The hotel itself is great to explore and the pool/beach area was perfect for a dip. It is worth noting here that the lake pontoon sunbathing area is only for paying guests and the front sunbathing areas are reserved for the suite rooms. Other than that, there was plenty of space available and a dip in the lake is a must! Would definitely recommend this hotel and will hopefully be visiting again at some point in the future!"

"It was certainly a beautiful hotel. It needs to be renovated. I was told that this winter they are closing down for a massive renovation project adding a lift and bringing the hotel up to par. The staff were excellent. The pool was divine, as was the general out door area and the bar was elegant but fun. Looking forwards to trying the renovated version. If travelling to see lake Como, it is a fair distance and generally a car is needed."

"We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Funicolare. We stayed in a family room, which was absolutely massive, with plenty of space for all of us and a very comfortable stay. The views were amazing and really added to the experience. We also had dinner at the hotel one evening and breakfast during our stay. The menu was varied, with plenty of choice, and everything we had was enjoyable. All of the staff were lovely and welcoming, but Luana at reception deserves a special mention. She was incredibly kind and helpful. We had unfortunately made a mistake when booking and selected the wrong dates, but Luana was so gracious and understanding and went out of her way to help us resolve the issue. Her kindness made a stressful situation so much easier. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend Hotel Funicolare. Spacious rooms, beautiful views, good food and genuinely wonderful staff."

"Very nice hotel on the lakeside that i have stayed at before around 10 years ago & it didn't disappoint to return to, very nice helpful staff throughout the hotel, lovely location, nice room, great breakfast, great kids play room with so many toys,gym & pool area good,pinsa in the restaurant was amazing, disappointed to leave & so was my 5 year old great granddaughter who said we should of stayed 10 days. Very good breakfast & we made use of the nice swimming pool before leaving, my great granddaughter loved it & said the room was VIP with 2 balconies & 2 bedrooms so that made us laugh. Would stay again & an easy drive from malpensa."
