We had a wonderful stay at the Haley Hotel. We would come back again! The only things we noticed that were not a big deal for us is that it was quite loud at night and you can hear lots of outside noises like people talking loudly or loud restaurant/bar music. This can be easily fixed by bringing a white noise machine (we used our phones) or perhaps the hotel can provide these in the rooms for guests. Lastly, it would have been nice if the hotel had another set of bikes for guests to use. Such a great idea and seems to be popular, so maybe investing in a few more bikes would be a good idea. Overall, we enjoyed our stay!

It was very clean. The bedding and pillows were very comfortable. The towels were soft. The courtyard was relaxing to spend time in. The major problem, which we lost sleep over for 2 nights, was that the blinds did not block light. There was a bright parking lot light that shone through our big main window in the family room upstairs that made it seem as though the sun was rising all night. Could be an easy but important fix. There were also ants in the bathroom.

The king/bunk family room was perfect for my group of 3 girls to stay in. AC worked well. Fan was a little noisy at night. I liked that there was a sliding door that could be used to separate the bunk from main room. There's also a small fridge and microwave. Paid parking lot next door was super convenient. Loved the easy online check in and mobile key. Property is cool...lots of communal outdoor space and games/activities to play with your friends. Only downside is no elevator which is normal for this type of property. It was only difficult for my friend that had a broken foot to go up and down the stairs. Would stay again though. The location is amazing.

While the room was clean and acceptable the area, like most downtown areas has gone downhill. The area is rather seedy with homeless people and maybe not the best area at night. The area does not feature really fine restaurants as most bars and restaurants are what I would describe as "tourist traps". You can tell the stores are trending down when you see nail and tattoo shops. I don't think this area captures the Santa Barbara image or brand. Also, at night there is a lot of loud music and drag racing. I've never stayed in a hotel that issued ear plugs when you check in. Depending on your budget and travel plans I would find another hotel to enjoy all that Santa Barbara has to offer.

This is a very cute boutique hotel in the heart of Santa Barbara. It's clean and decorated in a retro & nautical theme. There were ear plugs on each night stand which gave us pause ... and while it was a little noisy at night, we were able to sleep just fine. Parking is right next door. The attendant told us the fee was $10 ... unless we were staying at the hotel, then it was $15 LOL. Not a big deal and very convenient parking. We walked everywhere we needed to go. There are a few un-housed people in the area which was disturbing, but they didn't bother us when we walked past. Check-in & check-out was easy. We asked for and paid for early check-in, but didn't get it. The hotel refunded us promptly upon check-out. We forgot to mention it, but the water pressure in the shower (room 14) is less than optimal. All things considered, I'd recommend the Haley Hotel and I would stay here again.

The parking was very easy. The staff was very friendly and helpful during our stay. The room was clean but on our last day after we got back from dinner, we had black ants all over our floor and climbing the wall. The staff did come to clean them so we appreciated that. Other than the ants we loved staying there because it was close by to everything. I would love to stay there again.

The outdoor spaces set up to enjoy at the hotel are a great feature! Fire pits and multiple hang out spots. Pet friendly with a fenced area for play and potty breaks. Staff were helpful. The shower was great and the bed comfortable. There was some nightlife noise on the weekend but the provided ear plugs made a difference.

The ambiance was a win. After a grueling voyage, it was nice to seek refuge, take a long hot shower, put the LED fireplace on and turn into the evening. The bed and pillows were comfortable, soft yet firm. Air flow, light control, and privacy were nice with the blinds.

The hotel is in a great location and the courtyard is great with fire pits, comfortable seating and games. The hotel itself is really just an old Motel. It would be great if there was seating inside the room, other than bed. Also coffee in the room would be nice based on the price. I suppose if “no plastic straws and biodegradable stir sticks” are listed as amenities, you can’t expect a lot.

Parking was right next door, but by the time I was reminded to check in digitally twice, and had to download an app for the key, I did not appreciate the additional needed download of the parking app. The staff was very nice and the grounds have a lot of options for gathering. The room was clean and cute.
