"The first day I checked-in I was put in a pool view room when I paid for an ocean view room. I asked Sienna about the discrepancy and was told that the ocean view wasn't available. I went to the front desk the following morning and spoke to Merlyn, who rectified the situation. I also ran into Ms. Irma, who inquired if I was the young lady moving to the oceanview room and she informed me that she was on her way to get the room ready. She was the sweetest lady ever. I also met Michelle, one of the people who came to clean, and she was also very sweet and kind."

"We had an amazing stay a Kalimera Hotel in Placencia honestly one of the best hotels we’ve experienced, and we travel quite a bit. The hotel is small and boutique-style, which makes a huge difference. Because there are only a limited number of rooms, the staff can really focus on every guest and keep everything in perfect condition. The entire place felt very clean, calm, and beautifully maintained. If you’re looking to disconnect, relax, and be close to nature without crowds or noise, this is exactly the kind of place you want. It has a very peaceful, almost spa-like atmosphere. The staff was incredibly attentive and helpful. The beach is right in front of the hotel. Overall, I would absolutely rate this place 10/10. Definitely recommend! "

"This is a gem of a quiet, accommodation spot with a nice sandy beach, small pool, a good restaurant and nice swimming in the ocean out front. The accommodation huts are perfect, the beds are decent and we felt as if we had our own private resort for some enjoyed R&R. It’s a short drive away from Placencia but well worth it for this experience. Kids loved the pool, paddle boards, hammocks and large beach area. I definitely recommend this place!! "

"The hot tub was enjoyable although we only used it once as the weather was too hot. The bed was very comfortable but there was nowhere to store our clothes, so we had to live out of our suitcase for two weeks."

"Property is beautiful, staff are great, amenities are good. Additional restaurants etc. are a short walk or golf cart ride away in the village of Hopkins. The areas that could improve slightly are the number of sun beds by the main pool by Charlie's bar. There were 9 beds which were regularly taken but room for several more. The Paddle House restaurant on site produced great food, not huge servings but great food. However, while the servers were all wonderful, the food seemed to come out of the kitchen very slowly, so the wait for food and between courses was longer than typical. It was also hit or miss as to whether the coffee you got served in the morning was hot or just warm. Other than that the restaurant was lovely. "
