"Check-in there was a kiosk with someone to check in with on a screen even though there was a receptionist inside the office. Entering the room the air felt musty and humid in the room. It needed to be aired out after it got cleaned. There was no welcome instructions on pool hours, wether we needed a key or not for the pool. No WIFI information. First time there was no welcoming letter with guides. The beds were nicely made. There was 1 towel for a room of 4 people. My husband had to go ask for towels at the kiosk instead of the person at the front desk. The bedside table was dirty, it still had a ring from a cup on it. There was an opened soap bar sitting in the shower soap holder. I actually went out and purchased cleaning supplies to clean the shower floor. After a shower, we had to ask for a large amount of towels due to how bad the water went out of the shower and into the rest of the bathroom.
The pool and hot tub. It wasn't the cleanest, you can tell the wall tiles need a scrubbing. It was relaxing for about 10 minutes until families started to come in and the children were getting in the hot tub. Unapologetically, accidentally stepping on our feet, hitting our knees. Max people in the hot tub according to rules was 8. There was way more than that after 10 minutes, no longer relaxing. We left the pool area.
Towel service staff was kind.
Will never stay at this hotel again. Male guest in the morning was extremely loud sounded as if he was in our room.

"The staff was nice but it was just crazy expensive and the fan was broken in the bathroom so we couldn’t get it off and it ran all night and through our stay. Loud. Phone was broken, no dial tone, just totally dead. I just don’t know where they can justify asking for the prices they are asking. Wouldn’t return or recommend. We stayed up and down the coast looking at colleges for our kiddo and didn’t pay this for any other accommodations and all were legitimately better."
" Absolutely amazing location, easy walk to the beach and boardwalk, Beach volleyball, the super long dock, and electric bike rentals and the coastal bike path right there. Easy to get to downtown, lots of food options, and even a convenient store within walking distance. A little rough around the edges with the room and pool quality, but very reasonable for the price. Would definitely stay there again, my teenager loved it too. I love being able to hear all the kids playing on the soccer field."
"I highly recommend if it's your first time doing a resort and spa. I felt it had a little bit of everything. It has a hiking and trailing, himalayan sauna, steam room, a spa/massage, pool, yoga and fitness, pricey-but good food, room service, great staff and even a menu for your dog! My fur baby even have his own free package goodies! It' definitely a nice quiet and family friendly place. I highly recommend!"
"Staff (Aurora in particular) were very helpful with recommendations for places to eat and visit during our stay. Thoughtful and very pleasant staff all around. Parking situation was misleading (I chose a rate for free valet parking that turned out not to exist, but this was an Expedia error.)"
"Every time I visit my girlfriend in Santa Cruz, we always stay in this hotel. The location, rooms, amenities, and staff are so kind. The front desk workers are very welcoming, and the valet staff are highly friendly and respectful. We especially love Derek! He always has great recommendations of restaurants and things to do in SC. Also, the free breakfast is some of the best hotel breakfasts that I have ever had!"
