"We booked this hotel under the pretense that the resturant was open for business and the taxi price rate was similar to the rest of Ecuador or the reviews in our travel book. Hotel served a nice breakfast BUT no other food is available so one must go into Puerto Ayora for lunch and dinner. The taxi rate to and from hotel into town can be anywhere from $10-$15 each way..... if u want to freshen up after a long tour that will be 4 taxi rides......$40-$60 per day. "Cucuve was our home for our first five nights on Santa Cruz Island. Conveniently located just minutes to Charles Darwin Street and lots of shops and restaurants. This was the cleanest and best-managed hotel I have ever stayed at. The manager shows extreme care in every aspect of the hotel maintenance and cleaning. The room was large and comfortable.
