"I would rate this establishment a 0.5 out of 5 stars if I could. While the staff is commendable, the housekeeping is inadequate. The amenities are not replenished, and there are stains on the shower curtains. The overall odor is unpleasant. Additionally, some of the food appears spoiled, resembling black cereal, and some of the juice contains an unidentified substance. "

"Much better than I expected. I read the reviews and saw the pictures and I was expecting it to be pretty much average as a hotel can be. It was very unique with its own vibe. My only complaint would be the water closet design. Toilet and shower are separated by a wall, but share a single sliding glass door. While taking a duce, I felt like I was on a cruise ship."

"The room was not clean. There was dirt along the baseboards and in the corners. There was also dust hanging from the ceiling in the corner of the room. The furniture was old. The drapes were coming off the hooks, and the sheer curtain had gray paint all over it. The bedspread was old and faded. The towels were thin, and stained. I will definitely not stay there again, nor will I recommend it to others."

"The complimentary breakfast was nice, but it was exactly the same every day. For example, to vary the breakfast sausage with bacon would be appreciated. For those of us staying several days, we need variety. Also there was no wastebasket in the bedroom. There was one in the bathroom, but the main room should have had one too. There was a recycling basket in the main part, yes, but no waste basket where we needed one most. Other than these complaints, the La Quinta Inn was conveniently located and felt safe and quiet. Rooms on the highway side may be prone to traffic noise, however. We were on the quiet side of the building and it was peaceful."

"The property is centrally located for a visit to Sarasota. We had the junior suite which was spacious and comfortable. The pool and fitness center are very nice. The facility is definitely outdated and nothing “special”, although they try to dress it up with colorful decor. The maid service was subpar, they never came on day one and didn’t come until late afternoon day 2. Neither day did we receive new towels. Remaining staff were all very friendly. It wasn’t a bad stay, but we will likely try a different hotel next time simply because we know there are better in the area. "
