Arrowwood Resort Hotel and Conference Center - Alexandria, MN
8/10 Good
"The lake and beach area were very nice. The grounds are not maintained as well as they could be - thistles and weeds everywhere, the mini golf course that was once really cool is now run down and deteriorated. The water park is currently shut down for renovations, so hopefullybthere will be some love given to the outdoor areas soon. The room and inside areas were clean and the resort is very quiet, which is why I'm rating it 4 stars - looking forward to seeing some updates, as the Arrowwod has been the premier resort in the Alexandria area for as long as I can remember."
"Owner was friendly and upgraded is to a bigger room. Check-in went smoothly. Breakfast wasn’t hot but there were enough other options. We arrived late and left early."
"Some of the trim in general areas is a bit dated. For example carpet in the hallway, or paneling in the lobby. The room was updated and comfortable.
The front desk was prompt and courteous at check in and check out. The room was cleaned and refreshed without any concerns on the one day I didn’t hang the do not disturb. The attached restaurant (Willy T’s) has excellent service.
The place isn’t dead. There are people moving about, and even chatting. It’s still generally quiet and calm. Easy to sleep and get done what you need to.
For the price I paid, this is a high value, dependable option."
"This isnt the typical hotel most are used to. The single room I had was basically a private bedroom with your own bathroom. Not very big at all. That being said it was very nice, very clean, and the bathroom was updated. They have a deck out back that is pretty nice and a restaurant downstairs that was very good! They aren't open for breakfast which was slightly disappointing but there is an excellent bakery a 5 minute walk to the west, a coffee shop a few minutes to the east, and a catering place to the east of that that serves breakfast from what I seen on Google. Id definitely stay again"
