Older property but they’re working on doing some renovations it looked like. You can’t beat the location for proximity to Soo Locks and the restaurants and shops. The parking lot is really nice too. We’d stay here again.

Hotel is a little dated, but they are doing some renovations (Fall 2026) that will probably help. Our room was clean and had a nice view of the park next to the soo locks. The location of the hotel is great, with many restaurants and bars nearby you can walk to. The staff was friendly but were not terribly engaging (We asked about restaurants in the area and their response was ‘they are all okay.’).

We had a wonderful stay, great vacation time, the room was lovely, even the weather was good. The parking area was great for us. In the greater Saulte Saint Marie area is a great steak house called Choice Cuts, we recommend highly for a higher scale eating out experience. Thank you Hotel Ojibway for your hospitality.

The location of this property was perfect for the Soo Locks engineers day. The room was very nice and there was a free, small breakfast, with cereal, danish, yogurt, fruit. Did the trick.

I was very worried about the property due to terrible recent reviews. However, the room was clean though basic. Furniture was beat up, elevator rug was dirty and only working elevator was next to an unsecured door to the outside. Blinking message light could not be fixed. But the location, very close to the Soo locks, could not be better. So overall, I would probably stay there if you want to see freighters go through the locks . It is being renovated so maybe will get better.

The breakfast was very limited. There was cereal and oatmeal but no milk so we went across the street to a cafe. I left an item in the room and tried for hours to call but it always went to voicemail that said they were unavailable and they would call me back but so far that has not happened. The room was very nice and the bed was great.

Being an historical building, we hoped for more. Seems like they tried to “upgrade” but fell short. Room was outdated and could use a total redo. Neither the bar or restaurant were open. This hotel’s past was art-deco and vibrant. Those days are gone. We hoped for more.
