We absolutely loved the room, the building, and the location. It was delightfully quirky and tastefully styled and the bathroom had clearly been renovated semi-recently. I give 4 stars instead of 5 for two reasons: 1- There was a glowing red exit sign in our room poorly masked by a partial wall that was awfully creepy and hard to ignore throughout the night. If you need it dark to sleep, this was not the room for you. It looked like something between a Stranger Things poster and a gate to the Underworld. Perhaps this was unique to our room. 2- The floors were very dirty when we got there to a point that we had to get creative to not get grime into our sheets at bedtime.

This is a beautiful property and the room was spotless. Housekeeping came quickly when needed. When leaving I ran into the property manager, I believe his name was Matt, who was just as friendly as housekeeping. Street parking was easy to find and cheap (free overnight).

The Present is a neighborhood boutique hotel, each room is unique in style and decor. First floor rooms and those reached only by steps are an option. Wonderful coffee service area on the second floor. In an historic building so it has those touches, clawfoot tubs, wonderfully creaky floors and large windows. The management is very responsive for any any concerns. Walkable to many restaurants and squares around Savannah.

The access code provided did not work to get into the back of the building. Thankfully one of the employees heard me struggling and let me in. The doors could use a little love as they were difficult to open but that’s likely due to the age of the hotel. Rooms and amenities were very nice but the floors a bit sandy and you could see dust floating against the light.

Location is great, property condition is excellent, area is quiet. Customer service was disappointing. I contacted the hotel a day in advance to arrange early access to store our luggage, was sent the access code and assured it would work as of 11am on check-in day. We arrived at 2pm and the code did not work. Luckily someone was exiting and let us in. Check-in time was 4pm. We returned at 6:30pm, exhausted and eager to get in to our room. It was not ready! We had to wait another 15 minutes, then the room stunk of cleaning products, and the body wash in the shower was empty. I responded to an email asking how check-in went and requested a discount from Sunday rate to weekday rate (just $40), a request which is still unacknowledged. I was sent another email on check-out day stating they hoped our stay was amazing. Not so much.

Plus side: great location, fluffy towels, comfy bed&linens, several free guest amenities ( dental, shaving, coffee). Down side: only stairs, high steps - 3 flights, weird decor ( ink-blotched wood floor, plaster half-removed), basic maintenance needed ( rotting single pane sash windows), coffee one floor down with sink faucet not working, no instructions, access keycode buried deep in the "guidebook" link ( fun at 11.30pm and 37F, poorly lit front door), and typical Savannah lethal sidewalks. Funky hotel for youngsters not us seniors.

The Present hotel is the perfect little stay in the middle of a nice , quiet neighborhood. Parking was really easy ( but you do have to pay - only a dollar an hour though so pretty decently priced). There’s a cute little park across the street, 10 minute walk to downtown , cozy little balconies to get some fresh air . Reusable cups and plates and silverware which I love at a hotel . Awesome coffee makers in the room . Mark was there every morning for any questions and made us feel super welcome . We had a great time .

This hotel has my heart!!!! Parking was easily available and the property manager was very informative and ensured that I had all the details needed before getting to the property. They even included a picture to my entrance which was extremely helpful! There was no delay with receiving my access code to enter the property and they had everything I needed plus more inside of the room; I had no need to request anything!! The room itself was so beautiful, clean and cozy and loved the balcony area. Ifelt so at home here and will definitely be back!

The property has recently been renovated with new and updated bathrooms. The bed and matress were very comfortable. There are two charming balconies and a patio area.The manager, Mark was very helpful, kind, and hospitable. The next time we visit Savannah, we plan and look forward to staying at the Present Hotel.

Place is nice and well located. However, many of their rooms have broken AC. Looking through past reviews, this has been an unresolved issue for months. Upon arriving, our room on the 3rd floor was sweltering with a broken AC, the bed was only partly made and the TV was on and blasting. We contacted the offsite staff. We were lucky in that they were able to move us to another room with AC. But through our stay, other guests in different rooms said they also had no AC and the hotel had no rooms to move them to. This is unacceptable - they don’t let guests know in advance of this issue and you are left to deal with it once you arrive. Until they get some of these not so small details sorted out I would not recommend booking this location.

We had a lovely stay at the Present! We will definitely be back again! Mark was onsite during our check in and he was super friendly and kind and gave us great suggestions for where to go for food in the city. The property was quiet and very clean and well kept. The only issue we ran into was the AC wasn’t working on our first night on the 4th floor but they let us stay in another unit the first night (206) it was super cute and cozy. Then we moved to unit 401 for the remainder of the trip which was a gorgeous unit! There’s no elevator but I really didn’t mind the stairs it wasn’t bad in my opinion. This is in a great area right next to a cute square. It was about a 15 min walk to the main strip but I liked that it didn’t feel like an overly touristy area to stay. They offered bikes to rent as well which is a nice touch. Coffee nespresso machines were in both of our rooms and I spent the mornings on the lovely porch in a swinging chair. 10/10 would recommend to anyone interested for a cute, cozy, comfortable stay in Savannah!
