Entrance and access were convenient and easy, location very good, with bus stops within a 2-3 minute walk, the Lido/Cassarate area only 12-15 minute walk, and downtown only a 20-minute or so walk. The building was modern, and accommodation was very nice. Murphy bed very comfy, good kitchen and a very good bathroom with a rain showerhead. Nothing but nice things to say...we really loved it! "

Often when you rent a place, upon arrival you discover that the photos were taken at a misleading angle, or that something about the place is not really as nice as it was spelled out to be. "The staff at this hotel were excellent. Having two pools was a bonus as you could use the indoor pool when the outdoor pool was busy. The absence of a bar was a slight disappointment and the rooms were small even by European norms. Dated TVs meant no connectivity of maps.... but who goes on holiday to watch TV? Breakfast was very good too. The location (approx. 200m from Paradiso train station) made things very easy Tip: the number 2 bus will take you from the hotel (stop next to the supermarket) up the hill to the station, else it is a steep trek with luggage. The hotel is also alongside the funicular for Monte San Salvatore Watching the sunset from 900m+ is awesome (and you can buy a beer up there too!) And as with nearly every other hotel in the area, you get a Ticino Ticket that gives you free public transport (except for the ferries) in the Ticino region. We had such a great time we stayed an extra night. Our thanks to the staff at Hotel Admiral."

"This hotel is amazing! The views are spectacular! The restaurant was the nicest restaurant in all of Italy that we went to and we went to a lot! They’re wonderful front desk staff and the fine dining room were the friendliest nicest most professional I’ve ever encountered❣️ Of all the places we visited in Italy and there were a lot. This was our most joyous spot to visit with spectacular views, wonderful hotel, and super kind and friendly staff from the kitchen to the dining room to the front desk when you check in. This is first class at it’s finest❣️"

"An amazing view and a brilliant hotel. They gave us two connecting rooms for our family of 4 and it was a lot of room. No air conditioning which meant it was hot but they provided fans. The pizza on site was amazing for dinner that night. The drive up to it can be scary as very sharp turns and a lot of incline. Only thing that I could complain about was the breakfast as there was no options for any of us to eat. The waiter said that there was a delivery problem but it meant no croissants, no anything really apart from some old hard bread and some scrambled eggs. Was very disappointed with that."
