Beautiful View
The ocean view room was great, a beautiful view. The room was clean and spacious. The pool was pristine. Note that only 4-wheel drive cab drivers will venture up the hill to Korovesi which is an extra cost. I suggest making arrangements with the 4-wheel cab driver for pick-up and drop-off times. You can get the contact info from Korovesi for a 4-wheel cab driver. Our driver was very accommodating.

The views are spectacular! nicely remodeled.

We are very happy that you liked the property and gave us a maximum of 5 out of 5 points. The road got repaired and is now better. Everybody is faceing this problem in Savusavu. Only the main road through town is tar sealed - in our case only the last 400 m not. We are working on it to get the road upgraded but this is not toeasy in Fiji. Sorry for that.

We had a lovely time at Korovesi Sunshine Villas. We were a large group of 7 people, and Mario welcomed us and did everything to make us feel at home. The property has beautiful views, which made up for the inconvenience of having to drive up a dirt road to get to it (you definitely need 4WD, and most taxis will not take you there). The property could have used some extra amenities (e.g. cutlery was sparse) but overall a great value for money. Would highly recommend!

Thank you for your wonderful words. I agree that the road is not in perfect condition but it is not in my power to give order to repair her but what I trz to do is to let the guest feel this as less as possible. Therefore we have our own taxi driver, we pick our guests up and so on...

This place has an amazing peace about it. If anyone wants to get away without all the tourists and noise. This is perfect. From the view you see the Gods handy work and experience His perfect peace.

Had all essentials for cooking and bathroom and bed. There’s a pool and a view. It’s a Trek and a half up the hill, $10 taxi from town will take you up though.

Great stay
Beautiful spot, great view and nice pool. Great service from the staff, very accommodating for the few things we asked for. The hill is something to consider, it’s about 100 m elevation and 700 m long. Most taxis won’t go up but there still are plenty that will. It’s too far to walk to town but between buses and return taxis (both $1) as well as people offering rides, getting to town was never an issue. A cab back in the meter to the bottom of the hill was $6.20 - so pretty easy to get around. The kitchen was adequately stocked. Also, the place is close enough to walk to epic snorkeling at split rock, about 1 km each way!

Korovesi was a great spot. Staff were all friendly and helpful. We loved the pool, having a kitchenette and the space in the room. The hotel is walking distance to split rock for snorkeling. The road to get up to Korovesi is steep, as other reviews have mentioned. Going up was a good workout, which we didn’t mind as we could always fall in the pool at the top. But be careful going down as well. My girlfriend attempted the walk down in flip flops and slipped twice.

Nice villa with some inconveniences.
I stayed here 4 nights. Nice to have a private villa with a gorgeous view. Really nice layout and setup. But be prepared with your own groceries as they didn’t have a food option available when I was there. I also did not have much contact with the staff so had to make my own arrangements for diving. Steep hill to walk up to and down from the villa. It is about a 30 minute walk to town. I had laundry done but clothes came back with a bad smell. Overall good stay despite the above but if I were to go again might opt for an option closer to town as some taxis would not drive up the hill to drop you off.

Dear Jeffrey, thank you that you liked the hotel. You booked a self catering apartment with fully equipped kitchen. Usually guest booking such an apartment want to cook by themselves. That's why nobody asked you to order breakfast and dinner. Our staff starts to work at 8 o'clock. You went out at 7.30 to come in time to the dive operator and came late back. That's why you had not much contact with the staff. If I remember well you booked us on recommendation of the dive operator. That means that there have no arrangements to be made from our side for your diving. We are only 2,5 km from center town and only one hotel is closer to town center. We have our own taxi driver and if you would have driven with him there would not have been any problem. He is everywhere mentioned positive in reviews. We have got several touristic awards and this review does not at all satisfy our reputation. I accept the complain that your clothes had a bad smell and have no explanation for it but I apologize if this has happened in the name of our house girl doing the laundry. Sorry! Mario

We really enjoyed our stay at the villa! The view is seriously breathtaking and we spend a good amount of time just lazing on the balcony. Great comfort and portable tap water is a nice plus. Kitchen had all we needed for cooking. Definitely check out the split apple rock for awesome snorkelling - 20min walk away from the property (google it for GPS location). We were always lucky and caught a bus to the city for very very cheap from the main street. The hosts were super attentive and welcoming. The only downside is the hill up to the property. I am an avid hiker but it was on the limit of what i would walk! It is very very strenuous and you will be sweating a lot! Because of this we spend most time at the villa and didnt make the trip to town often.

besides a lump sum of american money that went unexplainably missing this place seemed like a wonderful choice. Also want to mention that if you don’t plan on renting a vehicle/don’t want to spend the money on it, the location of the villa can be very rough. it is located on top of a monstrous, rocky, scary hill that takes about 2 minutes to drive up. was told that many taxi drivers will not take you all the way up, but drop you off at the bottom. we were concerned about renting a vehicle and something getting messed up on the car because of the hill. if you have elderly or children this ride would be extremely uncomfortable. we did not even attempt to walk up or down hill. it’s not a deal breaker but it is something to be aware of as it is very annoying and you have to be cautious in your car. our room was spacious with lovely shower and bathroom, bed was very uncomfortable and hard to sleep in.

To write under anonymous says already everything! To bring it on the point: You should drink much less Vodka than the location would be good and you would also know where you have spent or lost your money!! By far the worst guest in 7 years operating time. Loud, incorrect, problematic. If there would be a star rating for guests you would get zero out of 5 points.

Remote setting and beautiful mountainside view.
Need a 4x4 vehicle to access the site. Extremely isolated. Nothing within walking distance even for adventurous types. Average rooms, no concierge, no AC, no cold water for showers. Decent pool and very friendly staff. Lots of bugs. Great for a restful escape. Not much to do in Savusavu. Recommend having your own vehicle. Though the local taxi driver was super helpful and can act as your tour guide.

We stayed for7 nights and had such a relaxing time The apartments are self catering with gas hotplates, microwave and full size fridge. Meals may be pre ordered and delivered to your room if desired Reliable 4wd taxi service via local mobile phone provided or catch the local bus Views are amazing and the pool great for coooling off We had a fantastic stay and really found it very relaxing and therapeutic Would definitely recommend

Beautiful hotel with a 5 star view
The apartments are quite nice, beautiful rock floor showers, big comfy bed and stove/fridge with plenty of pots and pans for cooking. Stayed here with my girlfriend for a week and we both loved it. The view is absolutely stunning, the owners (Mario and Tatiana) and unbelievably friendly and accommodating. Expedia messed up our booking and they were unaware of us even coming but they still got us set up in a room before the check in time of noon even. They would also call us cabs whenever we needed and Mario even took us to the airport when we left. Beautiful place to stay, wonderful town (Savusavu) and amazing people. Would definitely recommend.
