"We stayed in a private family room with ensuite. Look, the hostel itself is great! Had a lovely girl check us in which set a welcoming tone. We had low expectations of the actual room and it matched our expectations. Utilitarian rooms that serve a purpose, sleep and shower. The bathroom was a bit yuck but ok. We all slept pretty good. Surprisingly well behaved backpackers, no drunken noise - different to my generation! My kids aged 12 & 14 felt safe. Ferry across from Amsterdam station was super easy, convenient and it runs 24/7 at no cost. Supermarket behind hostel. Washing facilities available but didn’t use as it was always busy. The most affordable accommodation in the whole of Amsterdam and I do recommend it for short stays with family."

"The property was very convenient for travel. The breakfast was good. The breakfast serves fresh Dutch made butter, cheese, bread and jam. So good. The painted furniture on the room walls was very unique. We have stayed there many times in the past 2 months."

"I was coming from a river cruise, and was told there was NO shuttle, so my choice was to pay for a taxi, or pull suitcase and carryon for 15 to 20 minutes along the river promenade. Not what I had expected."

"A very welcoming hotel in an ideal spot in west Amsterdam. Boasts some of the most quiet and comfortable rooms I have ever stayed in. Great food, excellent showers and a decent sauna and steam room. A slightly odd thing when I asked for a drink in the bar one evening and was told “you can only order outside”, this seemed very odd when I regarded the dozens of empty seats and tables inside, which apparently I could not use."
