"An astonishing value for the price: our room was huge, filled with natural light from big windows on two sides, and equipped with a spacious living/dining room with a cooktop, crockery and glassware, and a sleep sofa. Guests are offered a complementary glass of wine before supper: you can take it up to a rooftop patio or out to the garden. The cooks are excellent and breakfast is bountiful.
The hotel is remarkably quiet and peaceful despite being just a hundred meters from the University. In keeping with the city and the name of the hotel (Learning), I think each room honors a different Portuguese author. There are some fun surprises around this if you dine at the hotel. The concierge referred us to a fabulous venue to hear Fado in the Coimbra tradition."
