Stolls Hotel Alpina

"We had a great stay at the hotel, rooms were lovely, clean, hot showers, view from room superb. We were two families meeting here for a holiday, with range of ages of kids from 7yrs to 17yrs and what a great place to stay, great facilities from soft play room to games room, trampolines and climbing frames and of course an indoor snd outdoor pool! All the staff were helpful. Only 10min drive to the town, with restaurants, there were several supermarkets for food at the bottom of the hill, under 5 min drive. The area is lovely and lots to do and see in summer. Highly recommend, would love to come back."

"I can’t say enough about this amazing little hotel right on the beautiful lake. Perfect location, incredible staff and delicious food. Extremely accommodating and a big thank you to Receptionist Alex, who was extremely kind, patient and helpful with our stay and plans. The beds were so comfortable and the big modern bathroom was excellent. Parking was not an issue and the breakfast was wonderful. The boat is something you should not miss and the highlight of our stay, hiking lake Obersee. Do not let the complaints about no elevator hold you back if you don’t mind some stairs. Perfect location for the boat and area. I’m so glad we did two nights, we would have done 3 if able. I hope to be back soon! Do not pass this gem."
Explorer Hotel Berchtesgaden

"This is an excellent hotel for its price point! I felt like I got a lot of value for what I paid. The rooms are clean though no frills. The staff is helpful and attentive. The spa was clean and nice, although it is only open for four hours in the evenings. If you are used to some of the more premium hotel/spas in the Berchtesgaden area, you won’t be impressed. That said, the fact that the Explorer had one, didn’t charge extra for it, and kept it very clean is a huge plus for me. The breakfast was fantastic, although go early if you want to partake in the DIY egg stations. I went in the summer, and you absolutely can’t beat where the location. A quick 10 minute walk to either the Konigssee or Jennerbahn. I literally was busy from the moment I got there on Friday afternoon to the moment I left on Monday morning. I highly recommend the Explorer for those looking for the Berchtesgaden experience without breaking the bank."
