"Michael, Odel and Debbie were the most helpful staff. Very clean hotel with nice outdoor amenities. Close to town and National park."

"The inn was nice. The only negative the 5 o’clock (am) truck/car with no muffler, warming up outside our room. The room was clean and we had a great view of Machias river. Thank you."

"Great place to stay, expensive but cheaper than some of the neighboring properties and you can't blame them for keeping up with the pricing up there. Staff was very nice. room was a good size beds were comfortable, great location about a 15 minute walk into town all on sidewalks. the only slight critique is that the shower has an oval shower rod so the shower curtain doesn't lay flush against the tub so water got on the floor, but no biggie. would absolutely stay again!"
Elsa's Inn on the Harbor

"This is where you would want to go if you want to stay someplace quiet out of the main touristy area of Bar Harbor. The Inn is very cute like staying at your grandmother’s, it is across the street from Prospect Harbor. We rode in on a motorcycle in the rain from Bar Harbor and Gale was at the door to greet us with two dry towels. She reviewed the map of the Schoodic Peninsula gave us helpful tips and places where we could go to eat. The included breakfast each morning was delicious and a great way to start the day before heading out for site seeing. It’s about an hour to Mount Desert Island, but only a few minutes away from the Schoodic Peninsula, which is much less populated, and worth a visit."
The Bluebird Motel

"This is a decent place. The room was very clean but in need of a major makeover. Everything is outdated… I understand that this motel suffered a devastating fire a year or two ago and there is lots of work going on in the front of the building we were in. Hope when they complete the rebuild, they will update the older rooms. But overall, I’d stay there again."
