I have very good tolerance with cold, but when it's -3°C outside and the heaters almost don't work, no matter what, you'll at least hope there's hot water in the night? But no! Even hot water is not available at night, it seems to be only in the mornings. I was shivering and freezing and slept with loads of layers after hours of trying to fall asleep in the cold. "The Fourviere Lyon was a total surprise for us. Upon arrival, we found a high quality hotel created from an abandoned convent built in mid 1800's. The structure is built in a square with an enclosed courtyard which offers a peaceful, walkable area for the patrons. Surrounding the hotel are ancient ruins of a Roman arena. Lots of history here! "
"We spent a weekend in Lyon at the Novotel and it was a lovely, relaxing stay. The car park was easily accessed and the room was clean and tidy. The staff were all very helpful. The food in the hotel was also very good."

"Fantastic staff, beautiful rooms. Not super close to main part of Lyon but easy to jump on ebikes and ride beside the river safely and beautifully in to town all times of day. Was disappointed the restaurant and bar were closed during our stay because it was "slow summer" would have appreciated if even the bar stayed open so there was some type of drinks available because there isn't much super close in the area. Would recommend the hotel!"
