"My stay was horrible and staff didnt care. It took 15 minutes for night clerk to tespond to my calls to check in. He told me he was helping a guest in a room but came down hallway chewing a mouth full of food. Room was filthy. Lights didnt work. Bed linens were not changed. No coffee or breakfast as advertised. When i requested additional coffee packets night clerk told me i got was in the room. Front doors were locked after i checked in. That was super scary. Desk vlerk in morning was on phone on a personal call when i went to check out and continued conversation with me standing in front of her. The parking lot is full of debris and poor lighting. Overall i pretty.much would have been more comfortable and safe if i had stayed on my car instead. I seriously advise you not to stay there!"

"My only surprise was that parking was not included, it was an additional $45 which I thought was high for the price I paid for the room. The only other complaint is the room was much more than I needed, included a full kitchen and all I needed was a room with a bed."

"Very nice hotel walkable to many great restaurants and core downtown area. Parking is $45 a night. Breakfast is good but was not replenished- got there an hour before closing and no yogurts, muffins etc. They did refill milk and hot water upon request. Not a huge issue though. Rooms were very nice, well equipped which was greatly appreciated. "

"Staff was great, room and building clean. Only problem was the shower, very low water pressure, like a flower watering can."

"We love Portsmouth--so walkable, such interesting galleries and restaurants and more. And we always stay at the Hotel Portsmouth. Great location, free parking, great rooms, great breakfast. This time we paid a little extra for the upgrade to a Superior King and felt it was well worth it. Even though we're just two people, the extra room--and two separate seating areas--mattered a lot."

"Place was clean and well designed. Comfortable bed. I never saw anyone….not another guest, not an employee…but it was very easy access using the punch locks. I did have a quick text with an employee who recommended a very good restaurant "

"Cute motel, interior is really nice! Tasteful decorations, comfortable bed, and a nice kitchenette - all appreciated. Some odd things like the bedside sconces are not bright enough to read by, even when dimmer was put on full. Bath was out of conditioner and lotion, not a big deal. It is across from the ocean but you can’t see the ocean from the motel. Once you cross the rock barrier, it is a truly lovely beach. We cozied up with books and the sun this morning, explored the tidal pools - all so nice! Pool looked ready but it was padlocked closed so maybe not just yet. All in all we had a great stay."
