"Perfect location for exploring downtown Bar Harbor- we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Also a very short drive to Acadia! Would 100% stay here again"
"Great glamping experience!! 10/10 recommend! Really awesome tents with plenty of windows for warm days, space heaters and heated mattress pads for cool nights. Really nice bathroom for a glamping tent. Very clean.
The only thing to note is that internet was spotty in our tent (one of the furthest from the lodge) - no big deal for us, but worth noting if you need solid WiFi on your trip."
"For a motel setting, it was perfect because we had easy access to Acadia, a restaurant on property, a view of the harbor (almost every room has one), coffee in room, heated pool, and say to park by room to load car for daily excursions of hiking or biking carriage roads. There’s even a marina and a bus stop (free island loop bus) just a few steps away. I will stay again."
"Convenient Location and Comfortable Beds, But Still Has a Motel Feel
We arrived late in the evening and found that parking was limited. The front desk was very accommodating and helped us figure out parking in the check-in area, which we appreciated.
The motel has been renovated, and the rooms are clean and updated, but it still has a definite “motel” feel. The beds were comfortable, which was a big plus after a long day. The bathroom was quite small and could use a little more space. I also would have appreciated a grab handle getting in and out of the shower, as well as more than two towels.
The staff was accommodating when we requested an extra blanket, which was appreciated. Our room was not cleaned after the first night, although this seems to be pretty common at hotels these days unless you specifically request housekeeping.
There aren't really any extra amenities, so don't expect a lot beyond the basics. That said, the location is excellent — it's within walking distance of downtown Bar Harbor, with restaurants and shops nearby, and only a few minutes from Acadia National Park.
Overall, it's a good option if you're looking for a convenient, reasonably comfortable place to stay while exploring Bar Harbor and Acadia. Just keep your expectations in line with a renovated motel rather than a full-service hotel."
